I thought you guys might be interested in this since there's a dearth of RPGs on modern consoles. It's already well over funded since they only asked for $44k. Doesn't look too bad and it has a great music composer on board.

Anyway, doing a little digging to try to find Mitsuda/Basiscape announcing this partnership, I'm extremely skeptical. It really seems like that's the only selling point of the game, and that this is primarily just a cash grab with a thin promise at a partnership that doesn't really exist.

Should point out that according to the stretch goals, Mitsuda doesn't come on board until they hit $130k and they're not there yet, so he is not technically "on board" (assuming he really is).

Ah, well that sucks. I don't really follow JRPG's too closely I just thought this looks like it had potential. The concept art looks nifty with it's Xenogears style.

I bought it during a sale cause it looks like it'll be solid, but it's so far from release I haven't really bothered to play it. Maybe like 20-30 minutes before the refund period would expire to make sure it isn't awful.

It's so far from release still I honestly wouldn't bother too much.

It's sitting at like 82% positive on steam, and from the last time I gave it a spin I know they've improved performance substantially (which was my biggest issue I had with it at the time). It very much feels like an old school FF with a modern coat of paint on top of it (ie directly in line with this forums interests) and until next week it only costs like 16 bucks and change.
