Holy shit I am psyched for Season 3!!!
Season 2 was overall great, and the finale was fucking amazing.
Gotta say, I know he's had around 15 years or so, but physical therapy did *wonders* for Anakin.
I know it probably originates mostly from costume limitations in the classic trilogy, but I think I would've preferred the more realistic "strong stance", "slow murderous walk" Vader compared to the incredibly agile Vader in the finale. Still really great though.
Anyone else notice Vader had eyebrows?
Compared to Ahsoka's acrobatics, he was pretty on point with the stiff style that we know him for. Vader is capable of jumps and leaps here and there. What I always wondered was how and why Kenobi's style changed from what he was in the ANH and how they portrayed his fighting style in the prequels.
I was less talking about the jumps/leaps and more the very fast blocking. Older Vader has to twist his wrists a lot more because he can't move his arms as fast. Young Vader pretty much had full-time Hasso and Seigan.
So your main complaint about Vader's style is that he had predictive capabilities to block and parry, by raising his arms higher than his older counterpart few years down the road?
Yeah. Maybe they grew back? lol
What I found interesting was...
Spoiler: show
Wait, he did? You mean in Special Edition?
Yeah, in one of the versions after Episode 3, they went through and removed his eyebrows.
Further proof that I like the direction where Disney is taking Star Wars. Starting with a fuck you Lucas' Special Editions.
They mention in a Behind the Scenes that they had to include Vader's eyebrows, because they had difficulty animating his eye(s) without them.
It had it's low points, but over-all, that was a great finale. Asoka is probably the best character they have made, post original series, and I was really looking forward to next season to see what happens to her, but word is she's not coming back in Rebels. I really don't care much about the rest of the crew, though I do like Hera & Chopper; hopefully, Ezra doesn't become too much of a Mary Sue because he'd have to be better then Luke to weild both sides of the force.
Couple of questions though, in the prior episode, I don't understand why the Dark Side music was playing at the end, during Ezras second attempt at Animal Friendship; anyone know?
The hell is that flying animal we say in the last two episodes? There's no way that was the same planet, in both episodes, yet there it was, and I can't find any discussions about it.
Also, according to the SW Rebels wiki, Ventress did voice the crystal.
Same VA, but not the character.
Do you mean the owl creature?

There is a theory out there that it is connected to the clone wars story Mortis with the daughter, son and father and that it's an aspect of the daughter that saved ashoka in that episode. Bit more to the theory than that also having to do with ahsoka's ultimate fate.

Doesn't really makes sense, because Ahsoka was on Dark Side spectrum when Anakin underwent the trial. Obi was on Light. I don't see the motivation for the Daughter to rescue her.
You can see Ahsoka walking into a temple after the bird flies over. My personal assumption is that she went into exile and will eventually show up in future episodes (then again I am biased cause she is my favorite character)
You're forgetting how it ended. The daughter channeled her life force into Ashoka to save her after the Son had infected her with the dark side and then killed her.
Yeah, I forgot that part. Could she be then reabsorbed so to speak?
