I keep considering making a trip to the Circuit of the Americas one of these days, or the Canadian GP if it happens to be the better option.
I really dislike that they moved to V6 and had the whole fuel regulation bull crap. Hell let them race!
Don't have a favorite team/driver. But I love myself some good racing.
While reliability was sort of an issue last year, and certain mishaps aside, Hamilton and Rosberg put on an amazing show last year in some races. Their rivalry was the talk of all last year. Seems like while fuel etc is still being restricted, this time around the engines and power units are much better after seeing most practices. Also despite some issues, i'm looking forward to the return of McLaren-Honda.
I used to watch it a lot more when Ayrton Senna was alive. I understand the safety concerns, but like you said, it did get a bit boring. Once again agreeing with you, Lewis Hamilton was a breath of fresh air, but the federation started penalizing him so much it became ridiculous. The emotion is gone, drivers can no longer be "aggressive" without some sort of penalty, and the disgraceful events surrounding Brazilian pilots just kinda made me gravitate away.
I do hope Hamilton wins though.
im going to the bahrain race, awww yeah
i really hope bahrain repeats like last year, those last few laps between hamilton and rosberg were too much, i recommend checking it out.
Melbourne race starts in approx. 45 min!
P1: Hamilton
P2: Rosberg
P3: Massa
P4: Vettel (nice comeback after a shitty last year)
P5: Raikonnen
Lotus making a comeback! Both Drivers in top 10 positions, McLaren almost dead last
And McLaren (Magnussen driving for Alonso) already lost an engine. Shitty start for them Honda engines.
And suddenly less good for Lotus..
god dammit man, I feel so bad for Lotus right now, Maldonado had a chance too. On to the next race for them, Hopefully Button gets at least a point for McLaren, On the other hand Ferrari is doing a good job, great move by picking up Vettel, red bull is suffering too, Kvyat is out. Go go Ham!
Also, holy shit those Rookies are already giving a nice show, Sainz and Nasr are impressive so far for mid-tier teams.
Yeah but fuck Maldonado.
Sainz/Nasr impressing greatly.
god dammit Toro Rosso
and Verstappen out. jesus this race... these cars... lol
Holy shit the Governator doing interviews lol. Grats Hamilton!
Starting to remember why I normally only catch one or two races a year.. Malaysia is at like 3 am EST, right?
I personally watch it for potential crashes and the atmosphere lol, otherwise I don't read too much into it
That's an affirmative. I guess that's why i only catch Japan, Canadian, US, and Brazil (and I guess Mexico this year) since everything is fuck all in terms of scheduling.
I dvr most of the races. Malaysia is very late at night. Looks like ferrari is doing work!
edit: Finding news that Renault might pull from F1, either that or becoming the engine for Toro Rosso, considering that Renault's only engine is with Red Bull, i wouldn't be surprised if they pull from F1. Also, fwiw McLaren is making a turn-around, Alonso seems to be liking the car a lot. Malaysia hopes to be an exciting race. Pretty much rooting for Ferrari and McLaren in this one, can't sleep on Felipe Nasr either, he's going to be a shining star for Sauber.
I'm not a huge racing guy. I watch it sometimes because it looks sweet in HD, BUT…
This tribute is pretty epic, and this seems like the place for it
I actually stayed up to watch the race. Holy hell did Raikonnen have a race to salvage a decent showing. Way better than Melbourne with actual racing and pit strategy.
Yo vettel, welcome back to being a winner kid!
