As far as must haves... well a lot of content has pretty decently different requirements/gimmicks so different jobs/setups shine/are needed.

Except smn and geo... For geo it's just such a powerful buff/debuffer that unless you already have one (and sometimes even if you do) it's probably going to be your best support. For smn if it's a single fight/target to defeat chances are 3smn +geo and maybe a RUN will be able to kill it in 30 seconds burning 2hrs. I aint even joking hardest mobs in the game melting to smn zergs lol

I was pretty much shit with SMN. Hell I didn't even have Fenrir since I wasn't from Windrust/had people to get to the fountain to fight.

Eh I'm still a bit of a completionist. Any way I'm falling more into a support now. God I miss COR... even BRD. Only game that I played that came close to a hybrid DPS/Support was GW2.

Time remaining is kind of bogus even more so than most things are. Having done a few fresh installs over the last few years don't think I've had an initial update take more than 3 hours and that's with lolcomcast

If you got help you can do it in an hour. Doing it solo from scratch fresh idk a couple of weeks I think. Game is pretty solo friendly and trusts help a lot and there are guides. Getting ilvl 119 might take a tad longer

First time character that has to do limit break quests and missions and get gear etc? Maybe a week.

Old character with all of that done, just leveling from 1 to 99? Could do it in a few hours if you know what you're doing, but more realistically a day or two.

Oh side note on updates... well there is an update tonight so if don't finish before then might be some congestion because SE fails. On the other hand over the last month or 2 they did 2 major hardware updates where they shut everything down... so while it was probably just prep for new dynamis and expected congestion with that and such small chance it might improve updates
