Faf camping was amazing. I should still have some screenshots of an arabic chat fight where our ls member was translating for us.

I remember spending 2 weeks camping Taisaijin, got the hat on the second or third kill. Whatever person thought up reverse lottery NMs is a sick, sick person. People would just drop by and kill the placeholder to put it in their timezone, and then someone else would do that, and then it would never spawn.

I have way too many ffxi videos saved, from the days before youtube existed. I wonder if it's even worth trying to upload these. Sanoshin's stuff was great.

Does anyone have the Video of a Ark Angels fight that follows a Taru with some Japanese music over the run? The run itself wasn't very good but its one of the videos that got me interested in FFXI. That and a Mnk using a Kclub with Hundred Fists on a Crawler.

I can't remember the name of the video or the music for the life of me for the Ark Angels run but its atleast 10 years old. I realize thats pretty vague but I honestly can't remember the lyrics or anything and its bugging the shit out of me

If you have Abysseas then Aby- La Theine worm camp is probably where most folks XP, not 100% sure about Valefor though. If you have Adoulin expansion, head there and start unlocking waypoints etc for ease of travel and explore (unlock all homepoint warps you see! Just click on them to activate them). Adoulin requires doing quite a few quests to be able to get past reives and to use boats, climbing gloves and whatnot to move around zones until you have the waypoints/homepoints. Unlock Mog Garden for easy travel and free stuff. If you left the game long time before Adoulin then I would say that doing Wildskeeper Reives and buying gear with Bayld will be your fastest way into regearing a little bit. https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Category:Reive

Thank you! I started soloing whm/nin undead in King Ranperre's Tomb for some nostalgia, then I unlocked the trust fellows and holy shit! 80k/hr if I try, 60k/hr just screwing around in the tomb. Thanks for the gear links. That was my biggest concern. I had no idea where to start getting new gear. I went to Abyssea La Theine once, but the place was empty. The whole time limit traverser stones thing sucks too...

Edit: Also, where do I get my hands on whatever program is used for gear swapping macros now? Still use xml files and windower?
