I just got finished with Rhapsodies of Vana'diel and WOW! what an ending. Overall the story was cliche and didn't make any sense when you think about it but the ending cutscenes made it all worth it.

Yeah Rhapsodies is pretty awesome, made me glad I resubbed. Adoulin story was quite decent as well even if the end seemed a bit rushed/anticlimactic.

Assuming the private server plays anything like official client you should be able to play it on just about any video card. Shit old comps without dedicated cards could play it.

I randomly found this video of my LS's first kill of the dvergr in wing 3 of Einherjar. I remember when Einherjar first came out and this boss was just gg you lose. Shit like this is what made XI great. Damn thing made me nostalgia pretty hard.

You could get through the story missions in a month with casual play if you just wanted to do the Rhapsodies of Vanadiel. They have a lot of things in place now to get people caught up faster such as trusts and NPC gear that brings your ilevel up.

Been back for 3 months, finished soa story line, finished rhapsodies, afterglowed all my relics and mythics, got all HQ abjuration sets, got my crafts to 110. Was a good few months worth of play, def experienced some nostalgia. But not because of SE throwing NPCs at me in the rhapsodies quests, but because every old zone I entered I remembered something or someone that was with me in the past. the community made this game great, and without them playing just isn't the same.

The populations feels like its 1/10th of what it used to be.

Free login campaign returns from Friday, August 12th to Monday, August 22nd. It is also running concurrently with a bunch of other campaigns like double xp/cp and other assorted good things. Once more into the breach, my friends...
