I had a pretty huge "not sure if want" face when watching the trailer, and then they said it was SMTXFE.

I saw Persona X Fire Emblem: Easter Pastel edition. So much color even for a FE game, let alone a SMT game. Not really sure how I feel about it after that trailer, but I'm still holding out hope. Atlus does not do wrong very often.

I've watched the trailer 4 or 5 times now, just so many pastels. The gameplay isn't even whats bothering me, because it looks heavily Persona influenced. I just don't see SMT in the presentation nor Fire Emblem in the combat. The decision to make this the crossover is just weird.

Sounds like its a colorful Persona game with Fire Emblem cameos. Not what anyone ever expected, I would think.

What is "Genei Ibunroku"? Apparently the JP title is Genei Ibunroku # FE.

No idea, but worth noting that the original Persona was Megami Ibunroku Persona.

so from the look of this, it's no longer an SMT crossover. the original teaser was full of characters from the mainline series, but i didn't see a single thing from the franchise in that trailer. guess i'll be taking a pass on this one.

Having never played a Shin Megami Tensei game, it looks interesting to me, and I wasn't really interested at all before.

It just hit me that this will probably have Fire Emblem amiibo support and I'll have to hunt them down...

Also, wow at a lot of people online complaining this isn't SMT enough because it looks too Persona.

What are these amiibo things people have to hunt down? Is it kinda like super rare action figures or some th ing that only certain stores carry?

They are similar to skylanders or disney infinity figures that got their start with Super Smash Bros., Nintendo is slowly adding compatibility to all their other games and adding more figures outside of Smash. They tend to sell out quickly because Nintendo does not release a ton at a time (honestly smart on their part so they assure they all sell).

Fire Emblem figures have been notoriously rare.

Main Story should take 30 hours to clear, Game 60 hours with sidequests, Other details

Fire Emblem characters are being selected from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light and Fire Emblem: Awakening. Others will also appear as friends, or as enemies or masterminds.
Characters are selected based off things such as their popularity ranking data. Both Cain and Abel will also appear.
Characters that appeared as enemies in Fire Emblem will appear as enemies in this game.
The main story takes about 30 hours to clear. The side stories and such take about the same amount of time.
The game is currently in the debugging and balance adjustments stage. All of its features have already been implemented.
This is being called a Fire Emblem and Atlus collaboration, but it’s a completely new RPG that any RPG fan can enjoy.

I have to say its definitely not something I was looking for... I mean I was hoping they'd make it... I don't know...SMT with Fire Emblems System with cross overs...I guess... >_> I don't know what to expect at this point.
