Early reviews - Like the first part of AoS season 1

The rest of that quote clarifies it though:
So they're not saying the content of the show is like the content of AoS when it started; they're saying it just seems like the same kind of cash/attention grab at first. At this early stage, "Legends of Tomorrow" feels more like "Agents of SHIELD" at its outset: a way to extend the brand by any means necessary, and worry about what the show actually is later."
Kinda shitty. I at least liked the way they explained why they were "Chosen". Hoping it improves.
Well, at least it doesn't seem like it will have relationship drama like Flash and Arrow. Gets some points from me for that. Based on Wikipedia's episode list, it seems like we only got the first half of the pilot though.
I did enjoy it though, I like the idea of mostly one main bad guy for a whole season (series?) as long as they handle it well.
So...the old white man drugged the black guy and took him on a big ship against his will......mmmm hmmmm
lol with that aside I really can't jump aboard with this series just yet. I am glad that they were able to get the story going fairly quickly without a long and slow build up which was the only part I did like.
My biggest gripe so far is that they really didn't do a good job of connecting the characters to the time line that they were in. They went there, did what they needed to do and that was it. What time they're in needs to play some part or provide some challenge to them otherwise they might as well be doing everything in the current day.
Also with so many characters, I can see them just spitting one liners here and there and not really giving us any depth. Another thing that could change, but not going to hold my breath on that.
I'll probably still watch this passively just like how I'm watching Arrow at the moment...The Flash is my favorite of the 3 shows so the other 2 are just supplementary content for me...
I think since each of these characters have at least a semblance of character growth based on their appearances in the show, we won't have to have them fight too hard for screen time/growth here.
I think if you watch it just like you watch Arrow/Flash, it'll be a good time, and there is relationship 'drama' (hawkman/girl, at least for now) but it seems like they're clearing that up pretty quick based on the previews.. so we'll see.
Honestly, if reviews are right and the largest issue is Vandal Savage (who's voice...kind of grates my nerves, but eh) then I 'm not worried too much about not enjoying it. I'm sure it'll be okay. Still makes Tues/Wed/Thurs a pretty awesome lineup... well Mon-Thurs if you count Supergirl.
A bit heavy on the cheesy one-liners but it was pretty good.
One nitpick

this 1. episode wasnt very great at all :/
how the fug the 8 of them gonna save the world when they cant even beat up a single bounty hunter.
I started this show up tonight just to see what the story was and man, its probably the worst comic related material I have seen on TV yet. Almost every scene had something that was either extremely goofy, or had characters behaving in ways that didn't really fit their already established characters. On the bright side, maybe Snart will no longer show up in Flash.
Tonights episode was laughably bad/cheesy/whatever you want to call it. Plot holes galore and things to pick at. Cold/Heatwave are the best part of the show. Rip Hunter is uninspiring, Vandal Savage doesn't feel like a threat and all, and I don't give a shit about any of them. I know a lot of pilots are usually shitty until they gain steam and get into their own flow. I'll continue to watch, but if it keeps up like this, it's gonna be tough.
Pretty much agree completely except for the don't give a shit about them. I actually hate some of them, and they annoy the shit out of me.
No clue why I'm spoilering shit, this show doesn't deserve em tbhSpoiler: show
