So...this keeps happening to me.
The button for vaulting over a hiding spot and continuing from a load is the same, space. If I hit space to continue it carries over into the game and launches me over my hiding spot. Which currently is right in front of an enemy who instantly sees me >_>]
Edit: Figured out holding space won't do it lol
Just noticed game has mixed reviews on Steam. Wonder why. Seems like more of the same as HR so far, which is fine with me.
Graphics options complaints for high-end setups.
I'd assume people bitching about the pay to win micro transactions.
Anyone complaining about the performance probably hasn't updated their drivers.
Meh... Crashed at the same exact spot in the train station 3 times in a row now. Time to play the Ni-oh demo instead.
I really don't get complaining about a pay to win function for a purely single player game. But internet trolls gonna be internet trolls
I was going to say good things about the performance on min specs, then I hit the sandstorm part of the first mission and the game lagged to fuck. Couldn't get the elevator function at first, then when I did I fell through the floor, the guy I was supposed to keep alive died, then I did moments later.
After some crap performance I updated to the newest drivers (forgot I hadn't done so in months) and on High with a GTX980 I get pretty solid performance. But man. This is the first game I think to challenge my 980 on Ultra.
Really good looking game. If I had the money I'd buy a 1080, but I'm about to have a mortgage, so can't spend on anything unnecessary at the moment. Whatever it is though, still beats the ps4's 26 fps/xbone 23 fps in busy areas
Turn it down from Ultra to High, you will literally notice zero difference unless you know exactly what to look for.
I'm also getting horrendous load times. Almost 2 min after death and cut scenes.
Anyone know if the Icarus landing punch thing is lethal or not? I did it accidentally at the end of the first mission and I'm pretty sure I hit someone with it but I was too occupied trying to save the guy to check if the dude I hit was dead or knocked out. I'm only at the start of the second mission now so it wouldn't be too painful to start over if I goofed.
Edit: Never mind, according to this it's still non-lethal (along with the Icarus Dash).
Eidos has confirmed that there are issues with the graphical settings. A lot of people are having trouble reaching 60 fps and 1080p.
From my personal experience of running with min specs, the game's preset for me was set on high which was fine up until the end of the first mission. I reloaded the game on medium and I was doing alright until I had my augs reset which caused the game to have a critical meltdown. I'm going to try again tonight on low which Eidos has said it's a 30 fps and 720p max.
Weird. I just left it on the default high preset and ticked on Tessellation, and haven't really had any issues. It's not maintaining a smooth 60, but since I've got Gsync on I'm not really noticing the dips.
980ti on ultra 1080p and I get some weird frame drops, whenever something loads my game just pauses for 1-2s. It is running off an older hard drive so moving it over to my SSD would probably help (if I can find the room). I haven't touched DE:HR since launch so the gameplay feels a bit wonky (and what is up with Mouse Accel and no toggle?), but it's more of the same so far. Should be worth the price.
I guess the Nvidia game-ready driver are causing issues. TB was getting BSOD's from it on his budget PC. Also, all the problems I've been reading about are people using Nvidia cards.
