PC Patch is out:
http://steamcommunity.com/games/3370...78430363230237This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client or manually look for updates in the Windows Store.
The following fixes are in this patch:
• Fixed crashes caused by third-party programs interfering with the game.
• Fixed crash that occurred after viewing the intro videos.
• Fixed issue that could cause a crash at the end of the Prague intro scene.
• Fixed mouse invert setting not being displayed correctly in the options menu.
Note about performance
We are seeing people reporting performance issues when playing the game on Very High/Ultra settings with MSAA set to 2x, 4x, or 8x. We would like to emphasize again that these options are very demanding.
We recommend everyone that is running at recommended spec or higher to start with the High Preset and MSAA turned off, and then tweak the options to optimize your experience.
While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone, if you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on the old version we have made a Beta available on Steam, v1.0_build 524.6, that can be used to switch back to the previous version.
I am greatly enjoying this game. Kinda like with Witcher 3, the side missions are telling some solid stories and the overall world building is fucking A++
Yep, loving it so far also. Still no PC issues.
I figured out my issue, I only have 4GB of RAM instead of the 8 min. Any manufacturer of RAM sticks recommended?
I've had one crash to desktop, but I only lost a couple minutes of progress so it was more an excuse to walk away from the screen for awhile.
@6souls, any of the major manufacturers is fine. I've generally stuck with Corsair over the years, but there's honestly so little difference in performance between different brands (and even clock speeds) that I'd just focus on price and length of warranty.
Could ask in build a pc thread, but I doubt anyone who actually knows what they're talking about would say otherwise.
PC Update 2:
We have just released the second PC patch for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, v3.0 build 524.10. This patch focuses on critical issues that were reported by users during the week after release.
This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client or manually look for updates in the Windows Store.
The following fixes are in this patch:
Adjustments to the Mouse Sensitivity settings, which mean that you can now set sensitivity for the X and Y axis separately.
Increased range of Mouse Sensitivity settings.
Fixed an issue that could cause missing geometry in the Dubai level.
Fixed an issue with player movement and running on stairs and sloped surfaces.
Fixed various issues with 21:9 setups.
Fixed an issue where the “Unmark All” prompt would stay on screen.
Field of view setting now displays the angle used.
While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone, if you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on older versions, we have made a Beta available on Steam, v1.0_build 524.6 and v2.0_build 524.7, that can be used to switch back to previous versions.
The game requires the above update to be playable, but the update is un-downloadable unless you change your region to canada montreal.
Uhh...and how do you do that?
Steam > Settings > Downloads > Region
Worked thanks. Good thing too because I only have the next few hours to play for most of the weekend.
Oh thank God they fixed the running speed up stairs. That shit was so damn annoying
What did you guys choose in the first big mission fork?
Spoiler: show

Don't care about achievements. I'll probably just do a save before and do both missions.
Also, anyone playing a Pacifist playthrough should definitely start with the Tranq Rifle, because unless I'm retarded/blind, I didn't find one until Golem City (which requires Remote Hacking to get at), but there were Stun Guns all over Prague.
I have found 2 tranq rifles in apartments in Prague. They are hidden well and require full cat burglar skills.
I was doing pacifist and then i accidentally killed someone by tossing them and didn't realize till after i had saved. Oh well.
