Subbed threads?

I haven't subbed to a thread as long as I've been on this forum. Will I have to unsub from these each individually?

Oh I just made a post about this too. I check my subscribed threads because it's the easiest way to keep up with them, but having the green notification flag is fucking annoying.

That's the default. I've always subbed to threads I post in so I can check them via my control panel - it makes it a lot easier for me to keep track of them, personally, but I really didn't need a notification for every single thread. That's what I have the control panel for. So I can go there and see that there are unread posts.

The notification thing should only function when you have a PM or get an infraction (which, if I recall, also sends you a PM so it's redundant).

It means you enabled this setting somewhere in the last 7 years and never ever bothered to use it until I put it in your face today.

About the only thing i noticed is that no thread listed has something new in it, yet I have 1 notification of a subscribed thread. Otherwise, cool I had that option ticked that way since I didn't want tons of emails but have some way of keeping quick track of those threads I posted in (not that I really used it but just that it was there was neat).

As a small tweak, I'd ask to show us only the threads with the new posts when clicking on the notification. Though that's really not necessary.

Well, it means I no longer have a green circle to remind me if I've posted in a thread (or a searchable post history better than shitty search), but now that I've gone through and deleted all my subscriptions, no more notifications!

Subscribed threads is how I find new posts on this website. Why would that have been the solution? Why couldn't we have just turned off the notification? Why did BG just unsubscribe me from all the threads I've been following? It's going to take me forever to find all of the threads I was following.

What the fuck. I'm actually fucking really angry right now. So your solution to the notification thing was to force unsubscribe me from everything, when I specifically said in this thread that that's how I browse? Fuck. Fuck this.

For all the people who were bitching about being able to find threads, SUBSCRIBING WAS THE SOLUTION, YOU GO TO YOUR CONTROL PANEL AND BOOM, YOU CAN KEEP UP WITH YOUR THREADS. Ugh. I'm really annoyed. I'm now going through literally every fucking post I've ever made on this website to resubscribe to the threads.
