Yooka-Laylee stars Yooka the chameleon and Laylee the bat. They’re designed by Steve Mayles, the character artist who designed Banjo-Kazooie‘s Banjo and Kazooie.

Together, the pair will use their unique abilities to fight enemies and traverse the word. Yooka can use his tongue like a grappling hook, while Laylee can pick up Yooka and fly for a short period of time, or unleash a sonar blast.

A Kickstarter for Yooka-Laylee will launch tomorrow, giving backers the option to grab the finished game for $15 / £10.

Videos are grey area. As long as they aren't getting our clicks/views, I think it's okay. I always try to find an alternative if they have an exclusive.

Honestly dissapointed by the later stretch goals they put out. It's like apart from those bosses and multiplayer they can't expand the game at all. Like can't you add goals for additional levels or something?

I feel like internally they had probably already determined what was within their scope to accomplish, and they didn't necessarily anticipate such a positive reception to the kickstarter. better to put out the game you have in mind in a timely and polished manner then delay forever to add in extra stuff from stretch goals, imo. I'd honestly be fine if the last stretch goal was just like "1.5mil+ anything raised past this point goes into funding for the sequel" although that would probably break KS rules/rub some people the wrong way.
