Oh sweet Jesus, there is an article entitled "Joe Buck is underrated"
Also, Simmons avatar on the site is a Crying Jordan
Haha loving the Joe Buck article; nice insight into a dude I've generally thought of as boring with pretty terrible commentary:
That sounds pretty reasonable actually.“The stuff that flies through my mind — the critical stuff, the funny stuff — I just swallow 95 percent of it, because it’s just not worth the bullshit that comes with it,” Buck said after changing into a polo shirt and jeans. “It’s not worth the headache. So I just save it for a friend or just go to sleep on it.”
the Steph Curry article on the Ball brothers in CA is good
my takeaway from the article is that his job makes him miserable because he worries too much, which then makes him terrible at his job. he needs to gtfo, I don't care how "majestic" his voice is if he doesn't know how to use it to call a game with any emotion
top ranked comment nails it:
So in order to show people how Joe Buck is NOT a douchebag, we get a story about how he
A. Got Rich Eisen to try and set him up with a woman who was living with her boyfriend
B. Told that woman that living with said boyfriend is “dumb”
C. Got two bicep tattoos to impress a girl.
Never really cared about Joe Buck before. Now I hate him.
First episode of Any Given Wednesday was tonight:

I liked it but found Affleck to be a bit strange. His deflategate rant went on for too long
internet claiming he was drunk
Watching it now, he's absolutely drunk
SHEA IS JOINING THE RINGER YES
Between David Shoemaker and now Shea the ringer has everything I missed from Grantland.
Simmons, Shoemaker, and Serrano were my main sources of entertainment from Grantland so all three being on board is plenty for me.
I do hope The Ringer tones down on the tech related stuff though, most of what they've put up in regards to that has been horrendous.
the article on how snapchat steals it's filters was pretty awful
i feel like barnwell will probably stay at espn, there's hopefully still hope for lowe
Zach Lowe is #1 bro but he's doing peachy at ESPN so no real need to link up with Bill again beyond some podcast stuff.
and i assume Rembert Browne and Wesley Morris are too comfy in their New York gigs to rejoin the team.
I cant remember if Rem left Grantland before Bill but I'm thinking he wont be back which makes me
did you see his draft day diary? amazing.
