Season 1.5 Christmas special is up. Think of it as a two hour season premiere.

I really enjoyed it. The fourth wall face joke at the beginning was great.

Excited for the rest of season two in May.

Edit: the wulfgang/kala sex drama was also hilarious.

Can't wait, hopefully the action or at least the main narrative will move forward a bit. They always said that Season 1 would be more of an origin story so now that we have all that out of the way the sky's the limit here.

Just finished the second season. I didn't realize it was only 11 episodes until it was just suddenly over. It was a decent ride but the ending was immensely unsatisfying.

I liked it plenty, but even as someone with really liberal views, it came off as super ultra mega liberal fan wank. Not that I mind that, but it was like the icing on a cake that was already way too sugary, and then they pumped ten times more sugar into it. Yet I still want more >_> Fuck.

I read that Netflix isn't canceling enough shows. Basically the CEO thinks that they aren't taking enough risks so their cancellation rate should be much higher.

Seems like they've cancelled like half of their shows to me. I can't get behind that CEO's mentality.

I'd rather they cut Sense8's incredibly lofty, unreasonable budget rather than cancel it. When you cancel a handful of your shows, back-to-back, with no closure, especially if you have viewers overlapping, that's going to engender a lot of distrust toward you as a network.

Why would I watch a new Netflix show right now? Chances are it's going to be cancelled, because Netflix can't budget things proportionally to their predicated audience. No thanks.

The way Season 3 was being setup looked like it could have been more budget friendly in the episode department since the locations could have easily been cut down.
