Summer 2015 Anime Season Thread

Didn't like ep 4 of Charlotte. I hope this isn't really the direction of the show. Lots of really annoying moments (most of them involving the new girl character). Anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

Maeda said please wait for episode 6 to decide on staying with the show or not, so I'm sticking around.

Yeah, either it continues this formula and ends (yawn) or some shit goes down and gets better. I was gonna give it another episode or 2 anyway since the first 2 were decent.

It seems we are still in the building section. I'll give it half a season to see where the ending is going.

The problem I have is it is funny at times but not funny to the point that is can stand on that alone, they need the plot to move a little more. Or more comedy at least.

As much as I like the "omg kawaii" little sister (and let's be honest here, she is "omg kawaii"), if they can move past the pizza sauce joke alone, that would vastly improve the show. Don't need that same joke repeated 5 teams each episode +_+

But dude it's pizza sauce...ON EVERYTHING. Switch the pizza sauce jokes for more slow-mo teleportation jokes and we've got a show.

I have no doubt she will have some significant role, but as of right now I wish the sister would just go away. It's basically a give how important she will be, keep her out of it when she has zero to do with the plot.

Seems pretty normal for the guys who make this. The sister is cute but super annoying and the jokes are played out, the idol is the worst and in general the story doesn't go anywhere.

In fact I'm scared if she does get a proper role because by that time she'll be on the shit list and it'll be too late.

We Bare Bears Episode 1-4

This show is adorable, and I really love how they've brought the setting to life. I absolutely love the diversity of the background characters.

There is no continuity in show so far, I highly recommended if you can only watch one episode, to make it Ep4.

Looks like the shogun makes an appearance in the next episode of Gintama, so it's going to be funny as hell. Looking forward to it.

Digimon Adventure Tri BD/DVD info:
As Chapter one of the movie: "Reunion" to be release on November 21st (The movie will be playing in 10 different movie theaters across Japan for 3 weeks.)
,its Bluray, and DVD will release on December 18th.
Bluray will be 8000 Yen, and DVD will be 7000 Yen.
Tri First run bonus: Transparent Sleeve and Digipak drawn by Uki Atsuya, small movie pamphlet, liner notes, chapter 1 trailer.

The downside is that each movie is probaby gonna take some time between releases (there's supposed to be what? 7? I forget). But the upside is that it seems like dvd/bluray releases will be pretty quick afterwards so they should get subbed pretty quick too! Hopefully.

So I dunno who's watching Gekkou Gurashi but this is legit one of the creepiest shows I've seen for a while I feel like I can't explain because I don't want to ruin it. It makes me feel super uncomfortable and tense and I love it, this could be amazing I hope it's amazing.

Watching this, GATE and Shimoneta this season. Really enjoying all of them... Shimoneta the most but all are pretty dang good.
