My parents got me some cheapy memory card when I was young and it ate like 20 hours of gameplay my first time through. Feels bad man.
I tried my first playthrough without a card. Got 35 hours in. Byeee byeeee.
Better after that was being unable to leave Midgar after getting a memory card because my game would lock up during one of the FMV's with trains in it.
Had to rebuy the game with my hard-earned lawn care money. Almost ruined my summer.
I borrowed my first FFVII. Friends disc 2 was bad and going into the snow areas would just give a black screen and freeze. I replayed the first disc like 3 times before giving up D:
I got my copy of FFVII in like 1998 and to this day it works fine :D
I remember during play how my PSX transited from stationary 0º to 90º to 180º then died. At least it was a good excuse to get a PS2 :D
Got my copy a bit after release for my birthday. Dad bought it at Sear's who sold it with a free Cloud shirt. Played the shit out of that game.
My god - I was in middle school and my friend let me borrow his copy. Got to Mt.Corel/train tracks part and kept black screen freezing over and over. Kept hanging no matter how many times I cleaned that damn disc. Finally convinced my mom to buy me a brand new copy from a pharmacy. yes - a pharmacy/drug store was selling FF7 lol.
lmao, this same shit happened to me when I borrowed my cousin's copy. A few scratches and it'd always hang on the North Corel sequence. Music would keep playing but the game would freeze.
Eventually I had to borrow a friend from school's copy just to pass that segment. Fucking North Corel lol.
Apparently, Nobuo Uematsu isn't working on the remake's OST

I feel neutral; I'll settle for remixed/enhanced tunes using the originals as a cue. Similar to Crisis Core's take on some of the music. Though it says Nobuo was a composer, was it because some of his tunes were used as a base?
But if the entire track is replaced entirely with no cues at all from the original, then yeh I might be a bit shuffled by it.
Yeah I wouldn't mind if Ito got a crack at FF..I mean he's one of their other amazing composers that gets very little love since he resides mainly in the SaGa series lol.
This song for example:
It's a newer song, yet still have cues from some older games.
I won't mind if they do it like this tbh
When did this get confirmed for PC?
