I had to do some shit to virtual memory just to get the game to stop crashing at the "Optimization" thing at the beginning. Havent noticed any problems once I actually got in but its only been an hour.

I’ve gotten to the point where I have outleveled the main story missions by about 8 levels and I’m kinda over doing all the side quests and just want to push on with main story. I just did the mission to find Olin after first arriving in Meridian if that gives any context.

I'm not sure I have played a game where the levels of stuff were less meaningful than HZD. Besides gauging in general if something will be kind of a pushover or if you're going to want to have some decent gear, the level system was useless for me. Besides possibly getting stuff on the skill tree, it's what, 10hp per level? Wow.

Yeah, skill tree and gear is more important than your actual level in the game. The big beasts will still wreck your shit regardless if you don't go in with a sound strat.

I know towards the end I was straight up pulling solid snake shit, turning the area into a giant booby trap before engaging.

Bruh I'm not going to get on a soapbox here but these unnecessary remakes are getting stupid. Its been 5 years and the old game still looks amazing... why the fuck do we need this? People keep buying them at full price for some reason and its a fuck-lot easier than making a brand new game so I guess printing money is the only reason they need lol.

Waiting for it to be a $70 game with the biggest selling point being "Pay for accessibility options".

Put me in the camp of why the fuck does this require a remaster/remake? I played it when I got my PS5 and the game looked incredible on my OLED.

The character models have better fidelity/motion capture in HFW, but otherwise the games look almost identical visually.
