This game is amazing. I've spent 30 hours in it just getting lost exploring the world. The corrupted zone with two rockbreakers was intense and extremely satisfying.
I 've put in about 10 hours so far and I still feel like it's just getting started. I just got a bunch of side quests in one of the towns after helping the War Chief with three raids. Going to go through all of those before I do more main story stuff. The Hunting side quests where you have to blow up the Grazers in a particular way were the perfect amount of challenge.
Is there a way to zoom out a bit further from Aloy? That's my only complaint, sometimes I feel like the camera is way too close on her and I can't see around as well.
I wish there was, but sadly no.
Also how the heck do you use the sling? Was on the freeze trial and I can't hit a group worth a damn
So are there any lost forevers in the game? Or can you do whatever you want when you want?
Nothing is missable as far as I've seen, just getting back into some areas is a pain in the ass.
I think you can miss out on a trophy and extra ending text if you don't do some of the side mission stuff prior to finishing the story.
I just had time to do a few weapon tutorial quests last night. That stupid sling one where you have to take out multiple enemies at once took over an hour.
Man, I just cleared out the last cauldron, Zeta I think?

Tearblast arrows. Aim for disc launcher (there are two). Make sure you remove a bunch of armor. Grab the heavy weapon disc launcher that you break off. Those things destroy Thunderjaws.
That's the only tutorial that I've still got in my quest log. Kind of a pain.
Two of them came from getting a bunch of Grazers at once, the I did the last by getting lucky with Watchers wandering close to one another since you can one shot them with the blast. Crouching and waiting and aiming and trying to line everything up just right only to have them move juuuust out of range - so frustrating. I beat it out of spite.
So do tutorials have to be done with the exact right weapon? I never did the Tripcaster one. Ended up selling my Tripcaster when I got a Carja Tripcaster. Will that work or does it need to be original Tripcaster?
As far as I know there is a tutorial for each individual weapon.

Bah okay. GUess I wasted some shards.
Also the game is really stupid about pathing sometimes. Really wants you to follow roads on the map even if you can literally hope over a stream and save a long journey.
Should mention yesterday I went far off the beaten path and the game threatened to restart if I continued. I also hit an invisible wall at another point.

Are all Ancient items just for selling or good for crafting too?
Just for selling, generally tells you on the right what uses they have.
Finally making my way through the MSQ and just finished in the citadelSpoiler: show
