If you can get it set up and running smoothly, yeah. THOUGH I BELIEVE...Shenmue has mini games (Arcades/Saturn in house) issues on emulators atm which is also part of the daily life fun the games has, but that was the last time I heard about the emulation status of Shenmue.

I would suggest to get a Dreamcast, then just burn the games onto cd’s. Dreamcast was one of the most easily pirated consoles in history lol.

If your tv can support the resolution, a VGA box is even more worthwhile. I replayed shenmue 1 and 2 last year with a vga box, game worked like a charm.

Visual memory cards are so cheap for the dreamcast on amazon. VGA cables are cheap too. Omg I might have to do this...

Broadcast during the opening ceremony of gamescom 2018, Koch Media and YS Net proudly revealed that the release date of Shenmue III will be August 27th, 2019!

In addition to this highly anticipated news, they also published a new teaser “The Prophecy” trailer.

Only a few games become legendary. This is the story of one of them...

Shenmue III sees the continuation of the epic story-driven saga. The player controls teenage martial artist Ryo Hazuki as he investigates his father's murder.

Players must explore the game's open world, searching for clues, examining objects and talking to non-player characters for information, taking them further into enemy territory, deeper into mystery, and even closer to their destiny.

Forklift Part Time Job Confirmed, Other Jobs Teased, Won't Delay Release Anymore

As we already know from the Magic conference, Ryo will be able to fish in Shenmue 3 by renting fishing equipment, and fishing tournaments are accessible too. Yu Suzuki now revealed the game also has stamp rallies, as in bingo-like sheets that you must complete by catching different types of fish.

In order to properly release Shenmue 3 on the Chinese market without problems, some few changes regarding the in-game arcades were made. Unlike in Shenmue 1 and Shenmue 2, Ryo will now first exchange his money for Tags to play the arcade games with. Else, this could be considered as a representation of gambling by Chinese regulations, making the game unreleasable there.

It was previously revealed Shenmue 3 has turtle races. The turtle will be able to be controlled by players to a certain extent. Pressing the right buttons at the right times, like the usual QTEs or a rhythm game, will make the turtle go faster. The woodcutting part-time-job will work similarly as well.

Lastly, Yu Suzuki revealed Ryo and players will have many new ways to make money in Shenmue 3, like gathering medicinal herbs, and that we’ll need to think really well on how to spend it. Which makes sense, seeing that he already revealed shops can sell the same items at different prices, that items can actually be used now, and that feeding Ryo will be really important this time as a way to recover his health.
