Hmm.. My dreamcast is sitting somewhere. Never finished 1, and 2's been sitting on my shelf for ages.

Oh dude, finish 1 already. I never got to finish two just cause it's such a huge freaking game, but that's a must play too.
Both games are a must play!! Playing 1 as we speak, sadly my tv and pc monitors don't support vga boxes cuz they can't go down to 640x480 res, gotta deal w/ composite. Who cares tho, so happy my dc still works.

"HAVE YOU SEEN A BLACK CAR WITH MEN IN BLACK SUITS?"
Never played either of the games. Never had an interest in playing. Followed them both, but I honestly have no interest in playing this one. However, I am overjoyed that this is all happening. There's nothing better, as a fan of many series, to see another set of fans of another series receive something they've been so passionate about for years. It shows that the market has spoken, it restores faith in not giving up on things you truly want to see continue, and it keeps me hoping for a revival of series that I care about.
Soak it up, Shenmue fans; its well-deserved.
Another new stretch goal.
Somebody hide my wallet. Don't give it back no matter what I say.
Er derp, yeah. Misspoke.
Man, and I thought the Reading Rainbow KS exploded.
Would it be safe to say this is probably one of the rare "miracles" in gaming. I know a lot of people that fucking loved the fuck out of the first two games, and also hear it has one of the most notorious cliff hangers of all time.
Can we also get 1&2 in HD form for PS4 >_> I'd buy that.
Never played the first two as a kid for lack of Dreamcast, but I did watch Charliewinsmore play through them for fun. Getting the toys and the cans gets old quick but so much oddball voice acting and fun side things to do.

Yu from his Reddit AMA:
"I will say this: if we reach the $5 mil mark, one of the things I really want to do with Shenmue 3 will become a reality.
At $10 million, it will truly have the features of an open world."
Ambitious, and time consuming. Already waited over a decade for this game, what's another half a decade of excitement?
Does this mean Baisha village will reach it's final form?
"I'M LOOKING FOR A MAN NAMED CHARLIE! HE WEARS A LEATHER JACKET, WEARS SUNGLASSES, AND HAS A TATTOO ON HIS ARM!"
Hate to be THAT guy but some people in the media are pointing out something quite interesting...

I think even backers are aware the game will cost far more than 2 million, it's more of way to gauge people's interest to see if sales will be decent. Watching grown men lose their minds helps motivate the dev team too, surely.
