I don't think I realized how ridiculous female main character's waist-hip ratio is until this video. Jesus.
Demo is up on EU/JP store if anyone wants to make an account to try it. Downloading from EU store now, demo is 1.3GB
NA PS4 demo is live - https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-...RLDOFFFPS40000
Is there any major diff between ps4 and vita version?
I must say the demo doesn't do a good job at hooking you up I think. The 'dungeon' is nothing interesting, adding characters from various FFs just so they can speak one line and give you an item feels like a cheap move, the battle system is ok and shows that it could have some pretty nice depth, but gameplay feels a little sluggish - the loadings, speed of opening different menus etc... everything feels rather slow I think they should have actually added some more story to this demo to at least make it more interesting.
Seriously. The ATB moves slow, the camera moves slow, the characters move slow. Why is everything so slooow
Can hold down R1 to speed up battles/ATB, also speeds up animations of attacks as well. There's also the repeat action too where you don't even have to select what to use anymore all while still being able to speed up battles.
Yea, I was hoping that riding some of the monsters in the field would speed up the running, but I don't know if I could really tell if it did anything or not. Still looking pretty forward to the game, hoping I'll be able to enjoy the full game when it releases next week.
I've been avoiding it because honestly, when was the last time a turn-based RPG had a demo that made the game seem interesting?
You'd know the answer if you didn't keep avoiding them
I do know the answer. It's Bravely Default.

"Haha fuck you NA Vita owners."
oh shit
Muthafukin Xenogear?!
Whaaaaaaat
it took close to 20 years, but we're finally getting some new xenogears content!
Spoiler: show
So uh, boy, I take back what I said earlier about this game looking like it was lead platform on Vita.
It runs pretty rough given how technically simple the presentation is. Struggles to maintain 30fps in a field with just two characters and a minion onscreen. Bilinear texture filtering, subnative resolution with no anti-aliasing at all, it looks pretty bleh even when you take the pixel density of the Vita's screen into account.
If it weren't $30 cheaper than the PS4 release in Canada I'd just go for PS4 at this rate. Also agreeing on everything feeling rather slow in combat; I shouldn't have to hold R to make combat speed more manageable.
