Given that i'm EU and its tough to do 3 Fire IV's without a proc, I tend to not do Aikaal's opener. I've tried the swiftcast start a few times, but my initial feel is that I prefer my original opener rotation for A3S. But that could just be down to muscle memory.

Use F1, F4, F4, F4, B4 (timing may be tight on the B4).

Its more about planning out when you need to move. Ideally, you want to do F4, F4, F1, F4, F4, but you can do F4, F1, F4, F4, F4, B3 or even use sharpcast/swiftcast to get some extra movement.

This. HQ Brulee is stupid expensive, but thankfully HQ tarts are very easy and cheap to make.

So, according to the general consensus about what everyone prefers on BLM. This should be absolute BiS right now for i210 BLM.

I'm not quite there on mine (need a gloves/ring/earrings replacement, and can get more on my boots), but it certainly helps far more than other stats.

It will be a while (although not sure if its possible with the astro attack speed buff), but will be interesting if you can get to the point where you can do 5 x F4's under ley lines - you can already do 4.

F4's cost is lower than F1, and if you get enough speed you just do the 5 x F4 instead of 4 x F4 and 1 x F1.

I find that right now, I don't crit often enough to stack Crit to get more crit damage, and having the inconsistency of critting on a F4 compared to a B3 or a non empowered F3 or even during a T1 application doesn't really make it worth stacking.

SS also makes dealing with mechanics far easier and dealing with Astral Fire and Enochian easier. Plus, with 3 second GCD's on your Fire 4, the reduction quickly adds up.

If I wasn't working i'd probably do some math similar to Puro on it, but apparently Dervy's already working on it.

Ya. Even if you didn't cast the extra F4, just having the freedom to do so would be bliss.

Haven't touched blm since I got it to 50 way back in 2.something. I vaguely remember a few points of piety being advisable for a 5 F1 rotation, is this still the case at 60? And is it worth doing from 51-60?

It was never at thing at 50.

At 60, I don't run any. There's a specific opener for it, but you can just use the Spellspeed/Piety food if you need to.
