Haven't seen this posted but here's some preliminary lyrics for Alexander via YouTube:
Someone further ahead in the Alexander raid would probably be better explaining the reasoning behind the lyrics.Seeking the piece of reason,
Shaping a peaceless season,
Reason to keep believing,
Waking the beast who's sleeping.
I call this destiny,
Or caught in a trance, evermore-
Keep [a] silent kind of dream
No sign of advance- you see?
This mortal coil we serve is taut like a spring,
Step back, two step, two step,
Two step, one two three
Our world's a fantasy- no more than a test,
Ever feeding off the fallacy
Creating this mess! Deep down
inside this bleak machine,
With all of the rest
Break free, to phase, to phase electricity!
Time turning up the volume,
Time turning on us always,
No time enough to wallow,
For turning back to where we began.
Trying to set those tested,
fragments in one direction.
Celestial noise detected,
but maybe I'm unsuspected.
Starting to give to reason.
Turning with me for defense,
Transmissions begun, completed:
Setup to breach any reset.
It was the destiny alone in a trance,
No escaping from this waking dream,
No hope for the best. You see?
The mortal coil we serve is naught but a spring.
Unwind, too slow, too quick, too much to believe!
Your world's a fantasy you failed to test
Ever forging all new fallacies creating a mess
Direct into this bleak machine with all of the rest
DC, dying, dying! Electricity!
Falling back right into the system,
Falling back on all empty gears,
When falling back right out of the system
Means falling back right into disgrace
Yes, falling back right in with the system,
Is slipping, falling back to the end,
When falling back is better and simple,
We're falling back into pieces again!
Sounds to be in rhythm
Memory wiped and beaten
Narrowly beat, defeated
Radicals flowing freein'
Energy slowly seepin'
Suspending all disbelief in
Synergy with our being,
Synapses fire and breathin'.
As for his original request, I've taken the effort to actually use what I can find from this thread to label and name all the songs I could and given them slightly more... 'Elegant' names than their original filenames (IE some personal interpretation)
On the original request though for the Alexander themes, I've gotten the extended long versions that are over 10 minutes long each, both the first boss and 4th boss themes. (bosses 2 and 3 still use Boss 1's theme). You can find the .rar file here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n4modeqcw8...sward.rar?dl=0
I got the Before The Fall OST in the mail today and there's another passworded "secret" file. Anyone have a clue?
edit: password is:
The "secret" files are Great Gubal Library and the 16-bit Titan Extreme.Code:ii
There's a version of Leviathan's theme on the soundtrack with female vocals. It is... not good. I imagine that was the original version, but when Soken heard it, he called an audible and subbed in his own Engrish with a heavy distortion filter. He made a solid choice.
Might need to hook us all up with the MP3's :D
LOL.. his beard hurhur
i found a version of this online but track 38 is corrupted and they didn't include the 2 hidden tracks.. is t38 screwy for all versions or was it just that guys rip?
You shouldn't have to rip it at all; the MP3s come on the disc.
Track 38 is fine on mine.
Currently traveling around, and the BD arrived already at home, could someone link the bonus tracks? Would like to listen to them before getting home
In case anyone hasn't noticed, there was a release of six tracks from Heavensward on iTunes. Kind of disappointing that they are piecemealing this to milk it (no doubt they will eventually have a full digital album release with some exclusive minion and later a full physical album with some other bonus). It is what it is, though, and you can buy five of the six tracks separately, including the Heavensward main theme (the opening movie) and Dragonsong.
This guy is really good
For people who care about such things, the Heavensward Bluray OST was announced for a 2/24/16 JP release. It's the full 3.0 soundtrack plus the new songs from 3.1. Bonus tracks are apparently orchestra re-recordings of "Torn from the Heavens" and "A New Hope" (Ul'dah song). Comes with code for FF4 Gilbert (Edward) minion.
It can be preordered on amazon.co.jp and they have really reasonable and fast international shipping, I've ordered a bunch of FF related crap from them in the past. Plus, the exchange rate into USD is really favorable right now so it's about $50 with shipping (which is ironically probably what it will cost in the US without shipping or tax).
Meh, i'd have considered it if it was released with 3.0.
Oh good. i was getting a bit annoyed by the whole EP vol 1, 2, 3 thing and the fact the some tracks I'd have wanted to hear weren't in there.
