I'm pretty sure DRG's are the lolDRG's of FFXIV.

oh, good. I'm glad someone is lower than us on the totem pole
Does foe do anything for any brd skills, or is it purely for others?
Do songs still decrease damage for bard or did they get rid of that?
Might as well sing anyways because you MP is just sitting there doin nothing
I pretty much only use Foe's. IDK if I'm doing it wrong, but no one ever complains... to my face, anyway. I'm still a baby tho; level 53 and mostly running pugs in Duty Finder. I have a hard time grasping when, if ever, the extra mana/tp is worth the decrease in damage.
Manasong is for recently rezzed healers.
TPsong is for melees & tanks that run out of TP during raids (is that even still a thing in 3.x?), and prolonged AOE spam for physical jobs.
That's well over 99% of usage cases. The rest of your MP should be spent on max Foe uptime.
ah, excellent advice. thank you!
I was referring to the 2.x dynamic of single-target physical DPS running at net negative TP.
Not sure if that was fixed in 3.x (I switched to MCH who runs WAY net positive).
Granted, I'm a turbocasual with bad gear with too much SS, but I'll easily start running out on DRG and to a lesser extent MNK if overall DPS is low in dungeons or a fight has near 100% uptime like A9.
I don't think TP song gets played much - maybe if you don't have a nin and your Monk/War/PLD are using fracture. I could be wrong though, as a BLM I don't pay much attention to it.
Just got Wanderer's Minuet and Empyreal Arrow. I can see why people complained about the shift in playstyle, but holy hell I am loving it. I feel like this is the class Bard was meant to be all along. <3
What's good BRD dps? Like, not balls-to-the-wall best-gear-ever endgame-raiding ultimate DPS, but pretty good, i245, duty finder DPS?
