Me as well Vincent. It was a decent first outing in my opinion; not a classic by any stretch, but decent.

In doing the math at 40/pop:
Without a physical distribution or publication fees
Ballparking a potential payment to Sony for releasing it on PSN
~62,000 units sold @ $40 = 2.48 million
244 million yen loss ~= $2.4 million
These numbers also are not accounting for US sales, though.
They should have at least broke even (almost certainly turned a small but sizeable profit when US sales are accounted for). Which leads me to believe that this reported loss for Tokyo RPG has a lot more to do with getting set up as a company than sales of the title being poor or lackluster.

Why is this exclusive to switch? I really hate Nintendo.
This is on sale on Steam for $20. I couldn't help but pick it up, i've been putting it off for a while but i've been itching for a classic JRPG. I'm about 20 minutes in and already I wish this was the types of game those iOS/Android developers were working on instead of that gacha shit.
I'm loving it so far but i'm not that far in. I might pick up Lost Sphear if I can bring myself to finish I Am Setsuna.
