Played some this morning. Seems fine on PC, can run it at Ultra on a 980M (so 970 for desktop folks) without any noticable frame rate drops outside of cutscenes, which seem to be prerendered at 30 fps
Xbone version supposedly has huge frame rate issues tho
Never actually played Mighty No 9 since it looked terrible, so can't really compare. It's "ok," gameplay is kind of shallow but the design of the world is decent (if a little too big, alot of running around doing nothing) and exploring for items is entertaining
How much work did comcept actually do on either game thou? As far as I can tell MN9 was primarily developed by Inti Creates, Recore by Armature studios.
I've been playing it on PC (Xbone version apparently has huge performance issues). It's not going to win any awards, but for 40 bucks I'm not complaining in any way outside of some random glitches.
It's probably the closest we'll get to a 3d metroidvania style for the foreseeable future, so it covers a niche I've definitely been angling for.

I like it. If it was a $60 ($80 CAD...) game I'd probably like it less. The only thing that bothers me really are the performance hiccups on Xbox, because my PC isn't good enough to play it.
