Is that even possible? We don't get much base accuracy, and caps are getting higher and higher.
Good point. My base on WHM208 is 354 so I'd need... 17 Tier V materia melds to get over 550 and 21 to go over 600. That'd reach the A4S cap but how much higher is Midas? Plus, you'd probably hafta use crafted 220 gear but why would you want to do that? Kinda unrealistic.
Yeah, which is whats holding me back from melding full acc. If not using the new crafted 220 pieces for pentamelds, I don't see reaching the cap very feasible. People keep saying "oh you will miss less the higher you go" but you still have the chance to miss, so whats the point in sacrificing healing stats then.
I normally agree with this mentality, but at least unlike most DPS jobs it's not like you're dropping a combo for missing. That said, the increasing accuracy problem as healers in modern content is frustrating, and I'd still be upset spending tens of millions on Materia just so I could still miss from bad RNG.
Ya. Been mulling this over a lot, and I've decided accuracy is not worth it. My thinking is that accuracy caps are only going to get higher, so any accuracy melds now are going to continually lose value over time, while healing stat melds will remain consistently useful.
Further, if my group's DPS is so close to failing checks that my dps is the difference between success or failure, then we're not going to clear content regularly anyway.
In fact, since I'm not doing world-first progression (and shits gonna get replaced next patch anyway...), I'm considering melding a bunch of tier IVs, instead of Vs. Certainly, now that I think on it, that would be the best course of action for my 210 stuff, which is being phased out anyway.
