All Savage floors will be the same thing, but twice as many and everything does double damage.
See how easy it is?

Maybe in savage the guy's butt in t16 jiggles twice as hard.
Not trying to make anything happen, that is just what I call it. Problem?
Yes, go play WoW. No one wants you here.
Hey, I was world first to crack the Apkallu code! I'm an important member of the ff community! /sarcasm
But seriously, but people call them at least 4 different things. It doesn't matter. Just relax and take a deep breath until the next meeting of final fantasy congress to determine proper nomenclature.
Can't we all just get along? Make love, not war. *waves lighter over his head*
I'm confused about gear order, since we don't know the Ilv of Savage + new tomestone
I personally wanted to go (for both week 1 + 2)
F1 ACC
F2 Head
F3 + F4 Legs
That would give me 3 ACC (with the free one+) + head + legs next week
While this guys suggest here to get everything in 4 weeks
Spoiler: show
mmm decisions
I don't care personally about chest at least just because the stats on it are meh, but I got the chest piece this week regardless and may just to have it to just have it and go with the Esoteric/Savage stuff when it's out. I'm just snagging pieces that are really good right now and going from there. Only a couple more weeks til more new stuff so!
I just wanted to say, as well, that I really love this raid. It's so different and just..fun all around and I'm glad the route they took. Getting irritated with people comparing this to Coil though in terms of story. Like.. it's borderline impossible for this story to be nearly as epic as the Bahamut Coil was, but I do still have high hopes on how it'll end up!
Incase we haven't laid it out yet, in Floor 4, here are some things to note:
Killing both legs simultaneously via limit break or AoE counts as killing one leg: The other will restore to full health.
Dying while getting abducted results in you staying dead /in the abduction zone/. Bring a Summoner, and pray, or you're dead there permanently since it doesn't seem to yank healers.
Perpetual Ray is the non-tank buster of the hour, dealing around 4-4.5k on tanks, however during early phases it will be fired at random targets every now and then. Once in the Manipulator phase, Discoid will trigger a series of Perpetual Rays on the Manipulator's main target, which we believe to be akin to Bahamut's Akh Morn, dealing magical damage and firing more each time. It's unconfirmed as to if it fires more however I am inclined to think it's always 3-4 shots, just enough to flop the MT if people aren't paying attention.
The Jagd Dolls when summoned will dole out AoEs that deliver stacks. 4 stacks makes a player explode for around 14k, killing themselves and those around them. If the dolls are ignored for too long, they explode for about 10k each.
The exploding orbs are tankable by almost anyone so long as the person receives heals after each explosion, however a tank can take two, three if LUCKY and not have to worry about heals. Still, in emergencies, you can just weave people and aoe heal.
The tether lasers are self explanatory for the most part. Do you have a tether? YOU GET A LASER. 4k and a winner is you.
Decree Noid is presumed to be a 'just don't touch it, stupid' sort of thing. Just have the healers sit out of the way of everything forever. It's easier this way.
Also Floor 3 is a definite reference to FFV's Liquid Flame. We have coined him Wiggu Wiggu Jiggu. Jiggu for new minion 2015. I can try to answer any questions open, but I also am dumb and suffer from forgetting my own name sometimes, so be gentle.
I was abducted once as a healer, seems it doesn't happen often but it does
Was anyone dead when it happened?
Ugh, can't say I remember
Yeah, people being dead makes mechanics like that get...funny...sometimes. I've not seen a healer get yanked when everyone's alive personally, but if it's possible then it's definitely not something to count on.
In the first phase of F4, you can't really tell when the Manipulator (unless there's an audio/visual cue I missed or someone knows what move comes before it) will abduct someone until you can focus target it after a leg dies. Once you can focus target the Manipulator, healers can throw a Regen or two on the OT when it uses Emergency Whatever before he/she gets taken.
Fuck everyone here for not getting a mean girls reference lol.
in this normal mode, you can already feel that they are trying SO HARD to dumb it down
pre-mature loops and basically nothing between loops
we all know this is just a story mode for casuals to see cutscenes, but SE really overhyped the story mode and everyone well be making a joke out of it for this 2 weeks :X
I feel that it's challenging enough to not be boring, but easy enough that I can actually do it with random DF groups or PF PUGs without having to give everyone a 5-page application and test of skill.
I kinda like it that way.
Do you guys think Savage will drop its own gear or just upgrade the "Prototype" pieces to the real thing at i200?
I MT floor 4 as Paladin. Our strat is both tanks take all the orbs during the first (3 each) and last phase (WAR OT takes all 6)
Is it safe to say that during discoid, I as MT should not even try to take any orbs? We were having a little argument about this last night. Our OT was finding difficulty getting all 6.
