I'm with Zet, most fun raiding I had in WoW was BC, with Wrath being second (Ulduar probably being one of the best raid tiers period). Starting in Cata, (though this may be bitterness with the fact my guild was falling apart as the inmates were running the asylum) just didn't have the same feel, and for the most part seemed a lot easier versus Kael, Illidan, Brutallus, etc.

I disagree. The hardest bosses were introduced starting in wrath. Availability of information is why things started dying faster.

To this day heroic ragnaros is the hardest thing I've ever done in any video game. Kael couldn't be killed because of a bug, and the rest of the bosses were either hard gear checks or tuned like shit. Mechanics wise, bosses have only gotten more difficult

Did you play through from vanilla release? If not, when did you start playing?

I've been playing since vanilla release and over 2/3's of my total ingame time were pre-WOTLK but I agree with him completely, the game was pretty trash in Vanilla and BC compared to wrath and beyond, it's just that everyone has been playing for so long that's it's become incredibly stale for them. I mean ffs in BC my rotation on my Hunter was literally just scroll the mousewheel. Almost all the difficulty with bosses in the those days was due to tuning or bugs. A boss like Brutallus wasn't hard because of mechanics it was hard because he was overtuned. Same thing with Mu'ru, that encounter was way less complicated than most of the add bosses now, but his tuning was way out of whack. There was also retarded shit like 5 sunders before you could attack that just made things artificially hard.

i say this all the time.

wrath was my favorite expansion personally all around, vanilla and TBC were hard at the time yeah.. but if you released WoW today with the same shit people would breeze through it

Played from beta to sunwell. Quit, came back in ICC.

Quit again. Rerolled in 4.1, played till 5.2. Quit.


Came back in 6.0, quit again in 6.1.

Mistweaver is fun if not a harder play healer. Brewmaster is very fun but Windwalker sucks
