Pretty sure it's the same singer, but the OP animation didn't grab me at all. I'd give it like 40 points.

They are the same show but idk, cavalry is just so much worse at performing the simple task of being tolerable.

I turned off EP2 like 75% of the way through because I couldn't force that shit down my throat anymore. Asterisk is still half decent.

2nd episode of Osomatsu was fun. Not as over the top as the first but I didn't think they could maintain that. Overall though, I liked what they did do and I'll definitely keep watching!

It's a sequel, of sorts. It takes place several years after the first season/VN, and some characters from that season make appearances, but the main cast is entirely new.

I'm not entirely sure what you're looking for or what your standards are for YRYR, but I found the 2nd episode more charming and funny at least =X

I watched it. It was like a proper YRYR ep. Though, you can't really have a bad Akane ep. She steals the show every time.
Anyway, I expect a lot from the show since the first two seasons set the bar pretty high but ya boy is just looking for wacky hijinks and humor.

The show isn't exactly "fast-paced" or anything but in the other two seasons, it actually felt like there was a lot happening in each ep and most of it is funny. Ep. 1 of this season was super slow and boring and nothing happened but this one brought the noise. Probably doesn't hurt that this ep was basically like a single day where all sorts of fun stuff happened in sequence whereas the first ep just made random jumps and cuts. Ep. 2 was definitely more in the style of what Dogakobo was bringing and what made the show good in the first place. 1st ep made me wonder if switching studios was a good idea but this one let me know the can make it work.
