Is it really "delayed" at this point? I thought we already knew Fall 2018.
Saying September kind of means they can't really back out now.

Ahh, that makes more sense.

Gold Points will be earned at a rate of 5% per purchase i.e: 250 points for $50 spend, and worth $0.01 per point.
It seemed a lot worse in my head at first, but after mathing it out it doesn't seem so bad.
Gold Points are earned at a rate of 5% on purchase, but are worth 1% of a dollar. So ~6,000 points is the equivalent of a 59.99 game. We would have to buy 20 games at 60/pop to get one free game.
Most Credit Card rewards are 1% cash back, but are equal to the return at 1% of a dollar. If you're just buying games at 60/pop with 1% cash back each game nets you 60 cents so you would need to get 100 games.
Thats not that bad, actually. It would be great if you can use Gold to purchase whatever their yearly service costs as well, instead of limiting it to only software purchases.
This policy is still more than anything sony or microsoft does, so there's really no reason for anyone to complain. Free money is free money.
I'm also seeing that the 5% applied only to digital purchases, but physical buys will only recieve a 1% change into Gold.
