Out of curiosity, how much is touch screen technology? Wondering if it could jack up the price of controllers if this is legit.

Insignificant in comparison to the rest of the hardware in use, especially if Nintendo keeps using ghetto ass resistive touchscreens.
I usually don't worry too much about Nintendo's batshit innovations, but no buttons = no buy. I need feedback when I press things, it's why I can't ever get into phone emulation.
That Bosman skit about the government destroying gaming by taking away the buttons seems more and less funny in light of this stuff.
Whew.
IM FUCKING DYING OVER HERE
This is already my favorite April Fools' joke and it isn't even April 1st.

2015 Fiscal Year report coming on April 27th.
4 WIIU ports rumored to the NX
Smash Bros (people guessed it)
Zelda U (no surprise there)
Mario Maker (according to some reliable source that one is 100% sure)
Splatoon (the one where people are the least sure of a port)
Who is your inside source?
If Mario Maker is getting ported that all but confirms NX will have a touchscreen controller of some sort, can you imagine how awful making levels would be with a regular controller?
Theres just some odd info there if you sit down and think about a lot of those titles though.
Zelda is a given, no argument.
Smash Brothers would benefit the most from a "re-release" that included all the 3DS exclusive stages, and maybe a missed character or two (Wolf/Ice Climbers) to entice people to re-buy the game.
Splatoon I would have expected more to be a bundle in along with Sm4sh (like the Wii U holiday bundles) as a "Play 2 huge hits on the new NX" type of release bundle included for a reduced cost. But then that goes against the idea of Sm4sh getting an upgraded release. I would also think due to the success of the IP globally, and especially in Japan, a Splatoon 2 full on sequel for the NX would be a great use of development time for a launch title.
Mario Maker is the biggest head scratcher to me. It is already getting updates, and I would think the last thing Nintendo wants to do with the NX is repeat the same "Wii U is just an add-on for Wii" by re-releasing older gen titles so soon.
Smash could benefit from a "game of the year edition" for lack of a better term that includes all the DLC.
Well smash is also the biggest amiibo usage game so Nintendo would need something like that for amiibo support on NX
as a nintendo fan, E3 can't come fast enough
My guess is that the NX is going to be a handheld unit to start with, perhaps akin to the Gamepad, with the TV-connected part simply a dock. That'd give it the ability to do Wii U ports/etc without an additional peripheral.
The Wii U Gamepad is a fairly good chunk of that system's cost, and would likely be too expensive to sell as an accessory.
