BG Fantasy Hackey 2015-2016

Alright hackey peoples , keeping this in one separate thread for the setup so it doesn't get lost in the NHL thread's usual chatter.

Last year we hosted 3 leagues, H2H, Points, and Roto. I'm probably only going to set up H2H and Points this year. If someone else wants to run Roto, feel free.

Here were the teams from last year:

• ESPN Points Head to Head: Point values assigned to each stats, go head to head each week with another player. Highest total points for the week wins the round.

Yahoo H2H: Monday 9/28 @ 9 PM EST

ESPN Points : Tuesday 9/29 @ 9 PM EST

I'll be reactivating each league in the next few days. For now post if you're interested post here so I can get a headcount on who's returning. I'll update the OP with those joined as it goes on.

As a note, if everyone comes back to ESPN points, we could do keepers from last year. But if we have a lot of turnover we'll just have all teams wiped and start anew with the draft.

Also I know there was some discussion on changing point values for ESPN. Feel free to post your recommendations here and we can review/decide.

+1 to this. Goalies just need to be tweaked a bit.

We could actually do an analysis of what the previous season would have looked like if we make these changes.

I'm not saying that goalies should be underpowered, but the best goalies should be in line with the best forwards/defensemen. Ignoring Ovechkin, all of the goalies on the list are way over the highest forwards/defense.

ESPN points for me again and if ppl want to do Roto, and you don't want to run it, I will. I enjoy Roto but ppl get turned off because they don't understand it unfortunately. So post up if you want a Roto league again, so we can see if there is enough people.

Definitely tweak goalies a little and lower them though. It was pretty retarded to see how many goalies got drafted in the first two rounds. My team was pretty damn good even without great goalies but it's annoying to see them so strong that even shit goalies and backups can get serious points.

If this fantasy hockey league is only going until December 2015, pick lots of leafs players. They tend to be rather decent until the all-star break, lots of dark horses to pick from in there!

Tweaked Goalie point values a little to fall more in line with Skaters, think I found a happy medium. Best goalies still are pretty high but average goalies are sitting near guys first line guys like Tarensenko and such, which seems reasonable. Take a look and let me know your thoughts.
