Kinda lame how every gym is some combination of Gyarados/Dragonite/Snorlax. Occasionally I'll see an Eggexecutor or Rhydon. Would like to see more variety.
These could be the reason

Blissey is fucking ridiculous. If you don't have an uber Fighting type you're likely to time out against her because she has so much fucking Stamina.
I haven't seen a trace of a party hat pikachu since the one I caught yesterday, nor any normal pikachu either, which is the norm for me.
Evolution Items:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertc.../#b2cdc0f30e23The data used to figure this out comes from a few sources, including redditors and PokemonGOHub with the final compilation of 23,000 items from stops, with stops usually giving 3-4 items on average, though sometimes more. In 23,701 items, 33 items dropped with fairly normal distribution between the different types. That's a 0.14% drop rate, or somewhere around one evolution item every 300 spins or so.
For how long have 2nd and 3rd evolution catches given extra candy and dust? Just caught the Spinarak evo version and it gave 5 candy and 300 dust.
Gotta be pretty recently but it's about damn time.
One of my local parks is a Machop nest, so now I've got myself a Snorlax killer for gyms. Hooray.
Another 7 day Pokestop streak goes by without getting an evolution item, booooooo.
Trading coming some time this year

"You shouldn’t be able to exchange your Pokémon with someone who is 100 miles away from you. ... The person needs to be in your proximity."
Well guess I saved all those Mr. Mimes for nothing then haha
Well you can still trade them to friends/nearby people?
I kind of figured that's how trading would work. It keeps region specific Pokemon even more out of reach for people who don't have the money to travel around the world to catch them. Because, sorry, but people from around the world aren't all the sudden going to be paying to fly to other countries to trade their region specific mon with you and vice versa like this guy (Nomura) wants you to.
Yes, I guess you could go find someone in person who spoofed to get it and trade with them. I'm sure there will be loads of this actually. And honestly.. I'll probably end up doing just that to get them because I don't want to spoof myself and risk getting banned. Trust me.. it's my luck.
I might have to go submit crazy if/when they open up the Ingress location thing again. My little town needs more stops.

I hatched a Lapras from a 10k egg, didn't know they were so rare. At least he was happy when he went.REPORT – 67-year-old man dies from heart attack after catching prized Pokemon 'Lapras' at MBS
I've only seen one, and it spawned across the river behind my house at 4AM. I got soaked, but I caught it.
The only one I've ever seen was on my test spoof account. It ran from me. I've yet to actually see one with my real account outside of one in a gym.
I finally caught my first Dragonite over the weekend. We were leaving my great nephew's? birthday "party" and I checked PokeTrack and saw a Dragonite. Got it just in time. Took several Ultra + Razzberries + Great throws to get it... and it was >900CP.
Second 7-Day streak on Poke Stops, still no evo item. Seriously. Great job on that drop rate. As if Candy and Dust weren't a big enough bottle neck for casual players, let's add evolution items that have a .14% drop rate.
Embrace the RNG. Got these in way less than 300 spins.
10k balls have been good to me lately.

Despite living in the north tundra, I haven't seen either of those in the field.
It's being rumored that the St Patrick's event will be double exp and the Easter event will be increased 10k egg drops with reduced walking distance for all eggs.
