If they do another in D.C. or Baltimore, I'm there.
Going to the Chicago show. Flying in on probably the evening of the 12th/morning of the 13th to meet up with friends in town. Evening show. Haven't ordered them yet since I'm spearheading all this from LA and waiting for next pay check.
London on Friday! 3rd visit to DW and I'm beyond excited!
Just picked up tickets for the Austin show. I've been to the previous tour "A New World" show when it went through Houston, and it's a significantly different experience than the mainline Distant Worlds shows; Much smaller venues, a more personal feeling to it. Definitely a great experience.
Anyone going to the Phoenix show in September or the LA FFVII show(technically not DW) this Sunday?
I'm likely attending both.
My wife and I will be at the Phoenix show
Anyone have experience taking someone who isn't necessarily a FF fan? If so, did they enjoy it?
My wife detests FF just because I play a lot but she loved the theatre.
My wife has only ever played ff9 with me co-op style up through Ice Cavern. She loved Distant worlds. She thought the music was awesome and actually got pumped when they played a song from ff9 and she recognized it.
Her favorite song from the show was Liberi Fatali. So she has great taste in music.
Live music is extremely powerful. It could’ve been anything and she would’ve enjoyed it. The fact that they play a video to go along with everything makes it more engaging as well. And the entire theatre is incredibly enthusiastic as well so that helps. I think basically any adult could go and find something to appreciate honestly.
Just left my first ever Distant Worlds, what a fantastic experience. Will definitely attend again.
And had a fantastic time with my friends. So happy to hear Searching for Friends live.
Just wondering how many tissues I'd have to bring if I went to one of these live. I tear up something terrible when I hear very good classical or orchestral.
Then bring a good amount because they also have background video which combined realllly pulled on them heartstrings. Just listening to "Answers" from ff14 live with the trailer in the backdrop was enough.
