    Gift Ideas for someone

So trying to find a gift for someone based around the fact they are a geek, love math, wine, astronomy and table top gaming. A lot of things I find are typical just T-shirts and jewelry which are all kind of boring. I did find out about Klein bottles which are cool as hell, but apparently make for really shitty actual bottles to hold liquids in.

Anyone bored and have suggestions? Spending range is <$100.

    Appreciate the help

$100 worth of alcohol. You're welcome.

I didn't say they were in IT, that much alcohol is an IT gift!

Kerbal Space Program, if they have a reasonably competent PC. That's not very much of your budget, though, and they might have it already.

Otherwise, there are some tabletop games that look really awesome: Star Wars Firefly Honor Harrington plus a million others. Pick an IP you know they like, make sure they don't have it, go to town!

You could also go with a more personalized option: Custom printed mousepads... or playmats.

I dunno, i like to fiddle with things, and since he's a math geek, he might have fun building the various geometric shapes. ;x

::edit:: and as far as kerbal space program goes, if he has it already, i recommend better than starting manned mod for it. its a great mod thats well balanced and pretty mentally challenging.

I could have bought an 11 pull and have 1000 gems left over, but all I got was this silly title.

Something I started playing with friends recently is Pathfinder Adventure Card Game (goto paizo.com for more info). It's a much quicker version of the paper/pencil game. Rules are pretty simple, no pencil/paper needed. The more the merrier. $60 for core box, $20 for expansions and extra characters. I personally played the Skulls and Shackles edition. Definitely recommend somebody using the Oracle class as healer/mage.

There's also Dust Tactics if the person in question is looking to build an army. Story is "What if WWII never ended". Pick one of three factions (Axis, Allies, Reds) each with pros and cons. They also recently introduced mercenaries that can join any faction.

Several other tabletop games that are good are Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and Munchkin. Hope this helps!

Do they have a math clock? I feel everyone who loves math needs a math clock.

Yeah. But then again, who wears a steampunk watch for its practicality? or when doing something practical?

Would they be interested in making their own wine?

My wife bought me a starter kit for brewing beer last year and it's been great. Now she wants me to make wine since that's her drink of choice.
