PvE is in serious need of restructure. The way how things are now won't work for players who want to really invest in this game since the reliance on gear lockout and weekly caps is truly starting to make any non-OFtard self-aware. To enjoy PvE you pretty much have to be so busy that you can only play the game about 5 hours a week.

He is saying if you play past 5 hours a week you are bored. Which goes along with your 30 min a day 6/7 days a week = capped tomes.

Like what Taint said, the ones who say there is plenty of content are the ones who barely have the time to play the game.

The 30 mins a day for Ex roulette is emphasis of this.

I don't know, I wouldn't bother to cap my tomes if I wasn't raiding for a real reason to do so. I cap out my main job next week, and I'll probably stop OCD capping tomes every single week for literally the first time since 2.0 launch.

Most casuals don't think this way though. They cap every week because it is the only way for them to get good gear. Plus, a lot of the designs for tomestone gear are better than what drops in raids, so a lot of casuals want the gear for looks anyways. It doesn't make sense to me anymore, but I know plenty of people who still cap every single week even though they only raid with the same job every patch. The cap exists so a lot of players feel compelled to do it.

Personally, I believe they're unwilling to admit that without tomestone caps there isn't shit to do in this game.

Like I said, I capped literally every single week since 2.0. But during 2.x series, it was more compelling to cap for secondary jobs because you didn't have the guaranteed token system speeding things along, and secondary stats were much more impactful. If I wanted healer gloves from coil I had to wait for 3 to drop; 1 for each main and then I could get them next time. Doesn't matter if it's week 3 or week 20, I'm getting the 3rd pair that drop. In Alex I can get lucky and have my NIN gloves for my main as a direct drop and then use the tokens I've been accruing on a secondary. Or maybe the healer gloves don't drop for the first 8 weeks and both healers use their tokens to buy it, then when they finally DO drop, I'm first in line.

Probably less than you'd like unless you were really confident you'll never come back to the game. Having a lot of classes leveled and geared isn't rare and this game lacks super rare/unique items to add real value to an account. I'm probably wrong though, because I wouldn't be surprised if there's some idiot willing to fork over thousands for an account that is overpriced.
