Elena is still #1 though. Helps you out without realizing it. Saves her boss like 5 times. Survives Don Cornholio's kidnapping and has some snappy lines too.

This. The art always looked similar. Tech just improved. Oh, sure, he changed the bangs here and there and adjusted the angle of eyes slightly between them, but its not like Nomura gained a tremendous amount of skill between designing them.
