The release of patch 3.1 is drawing closer, and today we offer you a sneak peek at the Void Ark, the newest 24-player alliance raid.

The Void Ark



With advances in the usage of airships and amidst the arrival of the so-called “Great Sky Age,” there are those who ride their own airships through the skies seeking hidden lands and mystery. They are known as “sky pirates.”
There has been a rumor spreading amongst the sky pirates of a ghost ship wandering across the skies – an ark filled with evil power that was created long ago by mages to run from cataclysm.



Level Requirement: Disciple of War or Magic level 60

Item Level Requirement: Average item level 175 or above

Party Size: 24 players (three parties of eight)

Time Limit: 120 minutes

Quest: To Rule the Skies

Prerequisites: Players must first complete the quest "Sky Pirates."

The raid sounds pretty cool, but the sets look kinda generic

I think the 2nd is casting not aiming by the hat on it.

The sets aren't...really, awful or anything, they're just ultra subdued and look like something you'd expect out of a dungeon, not a raid.

Absolutely goofy though everyone else is rocking a black and purple color scheme and then the healer set is just like EYYYYOOOOO WHO LIKES WHITE WE DOOOOOOO. Square Enix why.

It's just..after the 5 month wait for an actual update you'd think they'd be smart and actually make VA relevant as even an alternate progression path. Even the most casual "I play only 2 hours a week" player is beyond VA by now lol.

Raid looks cool, but that armor looks like shit. There are only 4 different sets, all they've done is swap palettes. even those 4 im not sure how much new armor i see. I recognize foestriker's gloves, right off the bat. also hope you guys like thighboots and robes because fuck you if you don't!


At least the Dragoon armor looks okay.

i think it's Scouting, Casting, Healing, Aiming, Striking, Maiming, Fending.

nothing looks like Striking to me but 1 and 4 body pieces are very similar so i'm guessing those are both Dex pieces.

Yeah, that was my immediate gripe. It's like you couldn't just make it lavender as the base color or something?
