I miss XI drama so hard. XIV has nothing quite like that bittersweet taste of watching shit go down in flames... except for the game itself I suppose.

@ranting dude, it's about respect. No one is going to take you seriously or bother to slog through your novel-length tirades if you yourself can't be bothered to pretend to show the barest facade of respect for whomever you're addressing. You don't have to actually respect the person(s) in question. You merely have to carry out a respectful dialog. It's very difficult to navigate around all of the petty insults for one, and two, it does not speak highly of your own character if you feel you have to resort to base name-calling to get your point across. Even worse if you structure your arguments like that just for your own amusement.

You seem to think that being "adult" is being able to sling curse words around, but what seems to be completely lost on you is that it shows much more maturity if you can do without them. If you are truly serious about your arguments and wanting to make a change, perhaps you should start with the way you express yourself.

Things fizzling out isn't really the mods fault either. When you got someone saying they kick people from their FC for saying toon get upvoted while someone not being "fucking hyped!" about 3.1 gets downvoted, it just shows the type of people that place has or rather the people that give a shit about hitting some silly arrows.

To people constantly saying "he has some points," no he fucking doesn't. The reddit community for this game is shit for anyone with an endgame focus. This is not some detail that has somehow escaped common knowledge that he's bringing to light. It is well known fact. It is not a platform for the level of pointless shit-slinging he's going on about.

You don't respond to someone saying "The earth is round, you're all sub-human shit bags that are literally worse than Hitler" with "Well, if you ignore the trolling, he's got a point. The earth is indeed round."

Can we all talk about how bad LBR is? Podcasts seem to draw people who have a lot of opinions about content they've never even done. I had to turn it off after they were discussing endgame raids and telling people to "git gud" a few months ago when only one of the hosts was even raiding at the time. And one of them hadn't even set foot in any raids, didn't even have their sub classes leveled for abilities and was spouting off stuff about how bad people can be.

I had to stop listening to a similar podcast for WoW because of the same reasons.

LBR was better before they started droning on about Patreon so they could do it more often. I listened for 6 months prior to that then got totally turned off by the bid for cash for a product that wasn't really for me (sorry I raid, only one of the panelists actually did, and it was rarely part of the discussion). It's a fun podcast for super-casuals though.
