That was really good. Can't wait for when its all finished.

That was brilliant
His calves look so small to be squatting 3pl8
squats dont work calves as much as quads and hams?
That is incorrect. They aren't primary muscles, but they are used as stabilizers. Just like abs get worked in a squat, calves get worked isometrically. And unless he has used that segway to squat always, he has to walk that weight out and into the rack.
Besides it was a joke, as his calf size isn't the important part of that gif. But dude needs to hit the calves more.
you also don't have to get big to be strong, in fact size is a very poor indicator of strength in general*
*among people who lift weights
Calves are far from needed for heavy weights. For looks muscle. Far too many people lIke Omar surf clam who do 500 with zero calf work.
Are you saying he doesn't work out for size?
I'm surprised it didn't break (whatever those little wheel things are called >.>; )
He's roughly my size and I don lift to get bug, so no, I wouldn't assume he does.
Bradley Martyn is 6'3" 260(claimed) and most definitely works out for size. His IG pics make his lower legs look a bit bigger than that vid.
And to make a correction that is only 3pl8, my b.
Must be alot of less visible chest bulk. His legs are also smaller looking than mine are which is why I commented un the first place.
Ya i got the joke, mine was a bit of a joke too
But stabilization is the poorest way to hypertrophy (muscles getting bigger). "Feeling the burn" =/= hypertrophy. Someone who does squats for a long time probably could go the entire time without stabilizing themselves at all anyway, weight technically should never be on the toes. That and calves have the least androgen receptors of all the muscles making them the hardest to grow, making them like 95% genetics unless you go full arnold and do 1000 lb calf raises for sets every day
Nobody should ever expect to get bigger calves with deadlifts and squats lol
Edit random pic and PROOF that calves are genetics
I worked for my calves thank you. They used to be nothin now they are kinda weirdly shaped. I didn't know muscles worked the way they did down there lol.
Just take ballet for 20 years, you'll have great calves. And no, this isn't a troll post. Up until I stopped dancing because of money/military/moving (nice alliteration, Aks), I had really great leg muscles from dance.
