It's pretty simple to change the data in memory such that it displays the wrong augment with the exact image the game would generate were it legit. I wouldn't take it as fact unless someone saw it ingame, keep in mind how many folks got trolled over that all songs+3 linos that showed up when alluvion came out.

Finally got the club Gada so went on a spree of 31 Dark Matters. If this was Vegas, the house won. Coolest things I saw were Phalanx +4, Quadruple Attack +1, Crit Hit +5%, Snapshot +3, Blood Boon +9, and WS Damage +4%. Everything else was base stats not even worth mentioning.
Ignoring silly Dark Matter randomness, Gada has some nice things to it. You're offered Melee and Magic. On the magic side, it has Indi Duration+ which is a +% like the cape. Highest I've seen is 9 so far, assuming 10 (or higher with Fern maybe) is cap for now. Fully JPed/geared, 10 would give it an extra 7 seconds of Entrust Indi over Solstice. Gada also gets Enhancing Magic Duration+, highest I've seen so far being 5%. I've also seen Cure Cast- up to 6%, Cure Potency up to 7%, Conserve MP up to 7, and Fast Cast up to 6%. Haven't run into any Cure Potency II yet.

That's asking too much. Song debuffs rarely resist with t/n up, and those will last a very long time, moreso with +song duration gear on.
That's true but more often than not I spend so much time buffing multiple parties and then pianissimoing Ballads on mages that you don't have time left in NiTro to debuff mobs.
When you do, the popper always takes too much time to pop and NiTro expires...
Even with a very good (not best) debuff setup like I have and crepe up, it's hard to land stuff on some mobs without both languor AND focus.
Think it's a thing with some T2 and T3 in reisenjima though, maybe something else. I don't remember having such issues landing songs on any Zi'tah or Ru'aun mobs (up to T3s at least)
Used 2x Dark Matter on staff and got random lowball augments that were not worth noting.

I'm wondering if they hid something. The more stones you spend on a piece, the higher tier results you can get?, then you break it at the end with dark matter for big buffs?

I don't think that's the case. In general I find within the first 1-6 stones I have a 'decent' augment of the type I am aiming for (although that's not always the case). For just one piece of merlinic I ended up spending 220 fern stones. I saw quite the range of augments, and they were not cumulative. There were plenty of terrible rolls interspersed, some off target, some only having the trait and nothing else. I stopped on the 220th stone which was marginally better than the 6th roll (went from 7 mbd to 10 mbd and from 15 mab to 24 mab). It will take tons more stones to get the perfect roll that I want. It's completely luck based. As a comparison to that I got 11 mbd, 30 macc, 34 mab on merlinic hood within the first 10 trades. I'm pretty sure it's all random chance aside from targeting with stone type.

There are no additional items outside of Reisenjima, besides Dark Matter, that can augment Reisenjima gear.

I got DT-4% on Herculean Trousers. Also saw PDT-5% and MDT-5% all using Fern stone.
Fern stone caps for Herculean melee path were:
Crit damage +5%
Crit rate +5%
WSD+3%? (seems low)
Counter +4
PDT-5%
MDT-5%
DT-4%
STP+5 or 6?
I spent 150 Pellucid stones on the melee path to see a single augment over 30 Acc or Attack for Herculean pants. It was two smaller augments summed together. Did I just have bad luck?
