Started the March Madness thread.
They really didn't think much of the Big 10. Feels like the top of the conference all got about one line lower than they deserved. MSU, Indiana, Purdue, Maryland, Iowa at least. Wisconsin and Michigan seem about right. I'm surprised that Michigan got in, given the way the remaining teams from the conference were seeded.
Haha so many people salty about Vandy making the tourney; not sure I blame them. Wichita St is no joke. There's a fair chance we get routed. There's also a chance that our three NBA-quality players actually play like they can and we make some noise. Just glad to be back in the dance.
what time does rutgers play
18 years in a row.
Xavier going down.
Yes I know this means we'll lose the first round to (10) Pitt
The NCAA released the NOA for the Louisville hooker-gate. Of note, Louisville's athletic department will not be hit with a lack of institutional control, failure to promote an atmosphere of compliance, or failure to monitor. That essentially means that they will not be hit with another postseason ban, no death penalty, no vacated games. Pitino himself was hit with a level 1 failure to monitor. That's grounds for a show cause (but rarely actually results in a show-cause, Boheim was hit with same charge and got suspended some games). Louisville plans to contest that charge. I'd suspect the worst to come out of this (other than what Louisville already hit itself with) is Pitino being suspended for 4-10 games.
On a more funny note, stripper and hookers were deemed an impermissible benefit. Which means the NCAA had to settle on a value of hookers and strippers. It was some amount >$5400.
