Winter 2016 Anime Season Thread

Is God Eater ever gonna finish? Remember the last episode that aired said next was gonna be in December, but haven't seen anything pop up since. As is, shit was erratic.

I watched the first episode of this and dropped cuz it didn't click with me. Should I give it another try?

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!

Another "trapped in another world" type anime.... sort of, seems like it will be a bit more ecchi/comedy though than the other Hai to Gensou no Grimgar ... maaaybe!

Got to watch this last night - the comedy really makes the show work. If it wasn't there we'd just have another MMO trap series.

Seems to be more than a few shows this season using comedy to drive them. Second ep of Active Raid was like that too, if you find deliberately bad Engrish to be funny.

Episode 1 seemed alright as the setup episode, but I really enjoyed episode 2.

Fuck. The one show I was looking forward to this season turns out to be that 3D/CGI crap. Why do they do that to such great manga series (Berserk comes to mind)? Are shows like that successful in Japan? Is it cheaper? I don't know.

Anyway, if that's your thing, check out Ajin. Pretty good stuff. Or better, read the manga. One of my favorite series at the moment.

GATE, Erased, Durarara and Rakugo are all on-point. GATE really cranked it up a notch, too. I don't remember it being so intense last season. Dimension W and Grimgar are pushing the fanservice a little too much for my taste, but I'll give them another episode or two to see if the plot develops more than the PLOT.

I like the story of this show but my god the CGI animation is so bad. It also didn't help that the subs I found were terrible. I wanna watch more but I also kind of don't ;x

I like the main character a lot in this show. Doesn't take bullshit from all those girls. The 'drama' in this episode had a funny ending too.
