I really don't understand this, maybe it's because I'm WAR and I don't stop at every other mob, but neverreap almost always is faster than fractal for me in DF


fractal gets a lot of cblocking by mobs you cant group and forced pauses, nevereap has less of that crap and the distance to travel is less. Unless you don't grab everything for the second and the fourth pull. (Although even if you split up the fourth pull still come out ahead normally)


Maybe it's just my experience with it but I always used to do fractal in 20ish+ on avg where nevereap is 15-20 on avg. Exceptions to the rule are just extremely bad DPS (normally I'll beat out everyone on avg anywho but sometimes people are EXCEPTIONALLY bad which is generally a variable that applies to both instances)

Every Neverreap boss has an annoying as fuck mechanic that interrupts the fight and it's far more annoying than doing 1 more pull or whatever in Fractal.

Those last three pulls tend to be annoying as fuck to me, not to mention making the pull after the first boss to the second boss in DF I can almost NEVER do and even then the wall is still gated by the chimera. Although that pull can be significantly simplified if you just have a PLD or DRK grab all the mobs up until the last set, kill the mob that procs the chimera and then burn the chimera without bothering to AOE since it's technically a waste then locking out the mobs. But I'd never be that comfortable with a DF group to even execute that regardless of how much time it would save.

The bosses on nevereap can become significantly longer though if your DPS isn't there to skip a lot of those phases, but I might just be spoiled since I'm a tank that knows how to DPS and most DF's can't so that would skew a few things.

If your dps is bad, Neverreap is far worse in my experience.
And yeah, Neverreap's boss mechanics are 100% more annoying.
Fractal is much less awful.

Fractal also has fun pulls for SMN dps. I dislike the Neverreap bosses intensely.

Pharos HM would be nice to spam, its extremely simple and quick to pull. Pull the entire first stairway, kill all, pull the 4 mobs after, then first boss. Pull the entire second hallway all the way down the stairs to the bomb incubator, kill the 3 kobolds after, second boss. The only annoying part is the final few pulls because of the stupid locked gates. But we just do that in 2 pulls instead of 1, meh. then final boss.
