Jesus fuck this looks like the most beautiful game that will come out for a long, long time.
The hell did I miss the dragon, that first time, watching the king walk out on the balcony.....
The first game was much like playing through a Studio Ghibli film, and, when it's out, this should take it to the next level (5, that is).
So I couldn't tell from the trailer or interview, but is Studio Ghibli going to have any participation in this game again or is the CG/art style from SG not needed?
That looked 100% like Studio Ghibli art to me
For sure, but I wasn't sure if Level 5 needed their guidance anymore after Ni No Kuni. I know SG did a lot of the animated cutscenes, too, along with the actual art style of the game.
They could probably just drop the animated cutscenes this time around given that bump in fidelity to the visuals over the PS3 original. I can't see a reason to not just do it all in-engine and pepper some 2d environment art about in cutscenes where appropriate to blend the best of both.
Considering the trailer was 100% animated CS's I don't understand
doubles
Those animations were amazing! I can't wait to play this one. I loved the first one, and it was one of my rare platinum trophies.
It's been almost a year but NEW TRAILER!!!
Cool game is not dead
Ni No Kuni II will be available in 2017 on Playstation 4, and for the first time on PC!
Feast your eyes on these beautiful ingame screenshots and artworks, and stay tuned for more news!
All ingame content is still work in progress and is subject to change.
