2015-16 Bowl Mania (and College Football Post-Season Thread)

It's College Bowl season, the most wonderful time of the year! Unless you're a fan of a team that went 2-10 overall, and 0-9 in conference, didn't win any game since mid-September, and lost its final two home games by a combined score of 93-7. Then it pretty much sucks.

But BG Bowl Mania is back. You can pick the winners of all 42 bowl games, and rank them from 1 to 42 by confidence. The more confident you feel about a game, the higher you rank it, and the more points you get for picking it correctly. Player with the most points after all 42 bowl games wins, and gets their name on the list below. Eventually, we're going to run out of space on that thing, I suppose.

As an added bonus, because there weren't enough crappy bowl games between 5-7 teams this year, ESPN is graciously allows us to select the winner of the Celebration Bowl - an ESPN-made for TV game between the best FCS teams from historically black college conferences that didn't make the FCS playoff. Bonus! C'mon North Carolina A&T, beat the crap out of Alcorn State! (You can tell North Carolina A&T is a primarily black college because if it weren't, it would be North Carolina T&A. Priorities, man).*

A real head scratcher that the Heisman trust only invited those three to NYC, when they have invited as many as six players in the past. FSU's Dalvin Cook, Navy's Keenan Reynolds, and LSU's Leonard Fournette should have been invited as well, in my opinion.

And that's why you aren't a heisman voter. There is only 3 spots to vote on, if the vote isn't exactly close then they only invite the top 3. Reynolds has had a nice career, but the Heisman isn't about the career. Fournette shit the bed. Cook I can see, but normally it goes to a player on a top team.

Not entirely accurate. The voters select their first, second, third place choices respectively, but there can be any number of finalists invited to the ceremony. As recently as 2013, six finalists were invited to the ceremony in NYC despite Crab Legs winning with 79% of the votes. It's not without precedent. My main contention is that there hasn't been a whole heck of a lot of separation between this year's crop, so they should all get to go and enjoy the trip.
