Thanks for this. I usually don't spend more than $30 a pair so I was excited to see this sale but it just makes them $30-$35 a pair so I guess whatever sales I wait on is this. Time for some new 505/511s.

In other news I'm returning my Jordan 11 Retros the size 11 was too big and they don't have a 10.5 in stock so I'll just take the refund and wait out a different pair of Jordan's. I really wanted a low top for the summer/shorts weather and I don't have really any light/white shoes so they were perfect. I'll instead buy the Adidas Alphaedge 4D parleys in mint green, they are less than retail on stock x.

I've only had 1 pair of Levi's, and they were like walking on a plank of wood. Cant recall which line it was though.

Real denim is stiff as fuck until you wear them in. That's the shit that lasts forever though, and you can hardly find now. Most jeans are a denim/cotton/spandex blend now.

Women's jeans are terrible, but I guess it's also because of the fashion. They're mostly spandex with some cotton/denim.

You may have grabbed something from their Water-Less line that's made to be worn in and washed less.

had a shitty roommate in college that used to wash his jeans in the tub while he was wearing them. Fill the bathtub, get in wearing his jeans, and wash them.

I've heard of people freezing their real denim jeans before. Also hear you're never supposed to wash em.

Yeah supposedly you freeze some to "clean" them but I don't think those type of people realize they aren't actually clean. Also there's jeans that you have to shower or bathe in that will basically suck to your body and become a second skin and give you that perfect fit.

I'd just get wedgies idk why people like that shit don't force my ass cheeks together I gotta breathe.

for raw denim if it starts to get a bit uhh, fragrant you can pop it in the freezer for a day or two as a stopgap, but at a minimum you should be doing a detergent soak as needed. machine washing is fine but you need to do it on cold, flip them inside out, and use something like woolite black detergent. also never tumble dry them.

i do a detergent soak in the tub once every 6 months, but i can get away with it because i work in an office so its not like they get particularly dirty or anything. just did my 4th soak on a pair of rogue territories i got in july of 2017, still going strong with prob 3-4 wears a week on average since i got them.

Ill never forget my first and only pair of raw denim jeans with which I immediately proceeded to turn everything I touched blue. I was not ready. I’m still not ready.
