We’re pleased to announce that Fan Festival, the largest live event for FINAL FANTASY XIV fans the world over, is making its glorious return starting in 2016! The events kick off in October 2016 in Las Vegas with the North American Fan Festival, we end the year with a bang with the Japanese Fan Festival in Tokyo in December 2016, and ignite 2017 with the European Fan Festival in Germany in February!

Early Registration: Thursday, October 13, 2016
Show Dates: Friday, October 14, 2016 to Saturday, October 15, 2016
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Venue: Paris Las Vegas

FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Festival in Japan
Date: Saturday, December 24, 2016 to Sunday, December 25, 2016
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Venue: Tokyo Big Sight West Hall 3 & 4

FINAL FANTASY XIV Fan Festival in Europe
Date: February 2017 (2-day event)
Location: Frankfurt, Germany*
Venue: Details to be announced at a later date

* Note: The European Fan Festival will be an international event and as such, all activities will be run in English.

Wow that is some early announcement. They talking about pre-orders tickets that don't go on sale until 10 months.

I would expect SAM tbh. I could only assume that was the entire purpose of leaving Iroha in the game following the XI cross-over event. She will be the trainer

If i'm still playing the game i'd be tempted to go to the EU one in germany. Although if i'm making a trip of it, Vegas may be better.

They did say every 1-2 years for an expansion. I just hope they actually evolve the game for 4.0 since that is FOR SURE not in the same "dev cycle" of 2.0.

Early Registration means you can pickup your badge and loot the day before the convention starts.

For the Oct 2014 Fanfest they officially announced it in April then in July people still playing were prioritized to order them first.

We did it to clarify it's not a 3-day event, which some people thought it was last time. That day is badge pickup, etc.

Working for a hotel myself, policies can differ but if you book now, rates will be lower more than likely and they will have a cancellation policy. Unless you pay for the room ahead of time (not just reserving it) you will be locked into it.

Oh hey, a different venue that's not completely out of the way. Hopefully they learn from all of their mistakes of the last one. Bigger room, more to do, and let's hope more than 2 fucking registers, lol. Wasn't currently budgeting for this... but might have to start now. Vegas was...very expensive last Fan Fest. Though I was there for 6 days, went out for every meal, gambled (and lost) a bit. Also gained 7 lbs on that trip, lol

Also pretty much every hotel in Vegas have gyms included in them so lift2eat.

Also remember when you get your hotel.

You will be charged for a resort fee when you get there. Right now for Paris its an additional $32/night

It will probably go up between now and October. If your reserve now you lock in that rate (At least that's how Luxor operated last time I got a hotel there).
