Took me a bit to understand the CPT rules but I think it's pretty cool minus 60% of the country getting shit on so California can get two premieres while SCR has been a poop for at least two years. Then people wonder why Chicago tourneys cater more towards non-Capcom games, lol.

Drama makes up 90% of the community since Valle vs. Daigo. If you don't like it or think people "don't care", then you are totally clueless. Without drama, the FGC/EVO threads wouldn't crack 50 pages and EVO would likely not even exist. EVO started, in the first place, to settle East vs West beef....

Me too. Dude is an amazing player in every game he cares to be so in. I mean the dude is undefeated against Daigo unless Daigo picked the 10-0 matchup of AE Yun v Sim, and Champ still kept one of those to the wire. Daigo is on record saying he never lost a single match against Sim with AE Yun, so at the highest level of play, that is just not a winnable matchup.

He brings a lot of needed drama and diversity to the scene. Also, fuck KBR.

Fighting games is the boxing of the esport world. Shit is impossible not to take personally, considering it's a battle of intellect and will. Too much ego clashing by nature of the competition.

You can't really break someone mentally and embarrass your man for the world to see in other form of sports/esport in the same way you do in combat sport/fighters. Shit cuts you deeper than you'd like or allow yourself to.

Eh, gonna agree to disagree on the drama front. Don't get me wrong, though. I enjoy most of it, it's just some is pointless.

You're going to have to elaborate on what the guy has done that is so awful to you or others. He has called a guy penguin, talked shit about Daigo after running trains over him, and made fun of KBR which he deserves a gold medal for. Oh, and he flicked off that Canadian Balrog player back in the day and got a standing ovation for it. He called Tokido gay once, ok.

Champ is a gigantic, remorseless asshole with practically zero redeeming qualities.

It's very easy to understand why people hate him, but just like cheering for the bad guys in wrestling, I enjoy Champ because he makes things interesting. Also his mouth gets him into alot of hilarious situations.
